Chapter 4- Mystic Grill Pt.1

*Third person*

Stefan is writing in his diary in his room.

"I lost control today. Everything I've kept buried inside came rushing to the surface. I'm simply not able to resist her." He wrote down, writing was just something that he has always done and it was also a way for him to keep track of all of his thoughts, the good, the bad, all of them. 

"I also met Grace, she's one of Elena's friends. She looks familiar and I feel like I do know her but at the same time I don't." He wrote down as well before closing his diary.

*Grace's POV*

I was at the Grill, with my smock on. When school ended, I came straight to the Grill for work, even though I didn't need to work. I was glad that I had my smock in my backpack. I was in the middle of waiting tables when I noticed that Jeremy was walking over to Vicki.

"Hey, Vick," Jeremy said with a smile.
"Working," Vicki told him and then walked over to Matt and Tyler's table.

I walk over to Jeremy. "It's alright. One day you'll get her." I tell him and walk away to another table. I get that he likes her, because if he is going to always be brushed off to the side by Vicki then he needs to stop going after her. Not that I would actually say that out loud to him, or anyone.

"Thanks, Vick," Matt says, smiling at his sister.
"Do you need another refill?" Vicki asked Tyler in a flirtatious tone.
"I'd love one," Tyler says and Vicki grabbed the empty cup then leaves the table.
"Please tell me you're not hooking up with my sister," Matt says to Tyler as soon as Vicki wasn't around.
"I'm not hooking up with your sister," Tyler says as seriously as possible.
"You're such a dick," Matt says as he goes back to eating his food.

I finished up my current order, giving the people at the table their food before walking away. As I was making my way back to the kitchen, to get another order, I overheard Jeremy and Vicki.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Jeremy catch up to Vicki. I decided to use my enhanced hearing to listen in on what the two were saying while I work. 

"Hey, what's your deal? I mean, summer you act one way, and then school starts and you can't be bothered." Jeremy says like he is pissed at her. I would be pissed too if that happened to me.
"Look, Jeremy, I really appreciate all the pharmaceuticals, but you can't keep following me around like a lost puppy," Vicki tells him as she takes the dirty dishes and puts them with the other dirty dishes.
"When's the last time you had sex with a puppy?" Jeremy asks her with a raised eyebrow.

I was thinking if I should step in or not, but I figure that I would just wait before I step in. For now, I would just continue to listen to them.

"Hey, keep it down. I don't want to tell the whole world I deflowered Elena's kid brother." Vicki tells him, not wanting everyone around them to hear them. What they don't know is that I heard the whole thing.
"Yeah, and deflowered and deflowered," Jeremy says as he lowers his voice a little so Vicki is the only one who can hear him. Again, they don't know that I can hear them.
"We hooked up a few times in a drug haze. It's over. You gotta back off before you ruin things between me and Tyler." Vicki tells him, letting him know that Tyler was the only one for her.
"Oh, come on, the guy's a total douche. He only wants you for your ass." Jeremy tells her. As if Tyler didn't care for her at all.
"Yeah? What do you want me for?" Vicki asks looking at him before picking up the food and walks past him, making sure to bump his arm in the process.

I shake my head. Jeremy needs to learn when to back off. I'm just saying. Though after hearing all of that, it really seems like Jeremy cares more about Vicki than Tyler does. I won't judge yet, that's not who I am. I look around and I spot my friends so I walked over to them.

As I was making my way over to Bonnie and Caroline I heard Caroline mention Stefan. 

"His name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle up at the old Salvatore Boarding House. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they moved around a lot. He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue." Caroline said sounding pretty proud of all the information she had gotten. 

Bonnie looked at Caroline looking skeptical. "You got all of that in one day?" She asked with a bit of doubt in her voice.

"Oh, please, I got all that between third and fourth period. We're planning a June wedding." Caroline explained to her as if it were that easy.

"I don't know Care, all of that sounds pretty stalkerish to me," I spoke joining in on the conversation and making my two friends jump since they didn't know I was there.

"Jesus Grace, you didn't have to scare us like that. Next time say something instead of staying quiet." Caroline says to me but I just chuckle and nod.

A/N Sorry that it has taken me so long to upload this chapter. Lately, I have been super busy with work and stuff, so I just hope that you all forgive me. And hopefully in the next chapter we'll see some more interaction between Stefan and Grace
