Ainsley pov
"I hate that hat," I grumbled to my brother. I grabbed a lollipop, a peace of cake, and some cupcakes. At least the food was good. People kept eyeing me. I tapped the gem on my ring under the table. I pointed the knife at their throats. They turned back to their food.
After dinner, we all walked up to Minerva. "Minerva? Is there a certain way your hat sorts people?" I asked. She nodded. "It normally looks through your head for traits of a house. Or the family. For demigods though, it can be manipulated. But we didn't do that this time. We were certain you would all get into gryfindor."Nico spoke up. "But Ainsley never did anything to be called a traitor. Why would it call her that?" Minerva shook her head. "I don't know, but it has sorted her into slytherin, so she must go to slytherin."
I nodded and walked away. Nico ran after me. "Hey, I don't know why it would say that about you. You're perfect," he said, pecking me on the cheek. I giggled. "According to you," I said, bopping him on the nose. He giggled back and waved me goodbye, heading to his dorm.
I walked into the slytherin common room and was faced with a lot of eyes on me. Too many for my liking. I spotted Draco and ran over to him. "Why is everyone staring at me?" I asked him. "It might have something to do with the traitor comment," he answered. I nodded. Well, Imma go to bed." I ran off to my room.
I looked at my tattoo. SPQR, a trident and eleven lines to show how many years I've served. I sighed and put my pajamas on. I lay on my back staring at the ceiling. I closed my eyes and slept. Unfortunately, that meant nightmares.
