"...Saeran..."

"Saeran."

"Saeran!"

Startled, Saeran sat up straight in his seat. "What?!" he snapped. Turning around, he saw who it was and inwardly reproached himself. It was Rika.

"Are you alright, Saeran? You haven't been yourself lately."

Saeran winced on the inside. Is it that obvious?
"I'm fine, Savior. I just...I still don't understand why we kept the prisoner 707 around," he lied.

Rika frowned slightly. "Saeran. It has been years. You need to learn to let go of this."

Saeran bowed his head slightly. "Yes, Savior. But I'm sure you didn't come here to discuss my opinion. What was it you needed, my Lady?"

"Ah yes. I need more photos of the woman MC. Prisoner 707 has been behaving...unruly. It seems we need to remind him once more that her life is in our hands."

"Very well, Savior. I'll get on it right away."

"Thank you. I'll be on my way."

Rika swept away. Giving an inaudible sigh of relief, Saeran spun around on his chair. I have to be careful. I still need to figure out what's going on.

Getting up, he grabbed his bag and a case that already had all the necessities he would need. The bag had a camera, a taser, some hacking equipment and some extra clothes. The case kept his drone safe while traveling, plus it held some of the more fragile pieces of his camera.

As Saeran headed out, he tried to ignore the moans and cries of pain from some of the new initiates as he passed through the hallway.

This is the right to do, right? The Savior is trying to help them. She knows what's best.

Continuing on, he exited the building and went to the very small parking garage nearby. After setting his luggage into the front seat, he got into the car and turned it on.

Always did hate this long, stupid drive.

-*-

Saeran parked about a mile and a half from MC's house. MC and Seyong lived in an area that was rather devoid of people, so he couldn't get any closer without them noticing and becoming suspicious. That was where his drone came in. He had outfitted it with a long range camera, so he could watch their movements without them noticing the high flying drone. He let it fly out, then turned on his laptop and switched it to the camera feed.

There they are.

MC was swinging Seyong around by his hands in a circle around her. It looked like he was absolutely screaming with laughter, judging by his squinched eyes and huge grin.

They're so happy.

MC slowed to a stop, both of them toppling over on their backs and laughing their heads off. MC leaned over and tickled Seyong, forcing him to roll away from her while giggling. She jumped up, and chased him throughout the yard. She chased him for awhile, with Saeran noticing that MC was definitely letting him get away. After a little bit, she caught him and hugged him.

How?

She kissed him on the head, and then shooed Seyong inside. Presumably to get ready for dinner, as it was beginning to get dark.

How are they so very happy? After everything that has happened to them? It's so different...from me.

Now that MC was alone, Saeran started taking the photos of her that Rika needed. It didn't take much to scare Saeyoung. However, Saeran caught himself continuing to take pictures even after Seyong came back out.

There is such a difference between this family and the Saviors paradise. The Savior is helping so many people. And yet...I've never heard anyone there laugh like this. I've never heard anyone laugh at all.

Thoughtfully, Saeran called back his drone. After packing everything up, he headed back to the Mint Eye HQ.

"Savior, I have the photos."

"Thank you, Saeran. I'll let you show them to 707. I know how much you...enjoy doing so."

"I also took photos of the child, Seyong. Do you want me to show him those as well?" Saeran asked.

"No. Pictures of MC are enough to scare him. If he knew that he had another family member to protect, he might begin rebelling on a larger scale. Even if he is broken, he is still dangerous," Rika replied.

"Very well, my Lady," Saeran replied. He gave a small bow, then exited the room. Heading down the stairs to his right, he entered the prison. Going through the rows of jail cells, he went to the one at the very back.

"Luciel."

A pair of hollowed eyes looked up. Saeyoung looked like a shadow of his former self. His hair that used to be so bright red, was now dull and straggled. His frame was horribly thin, with almost no muscle mass at all.

He needs to eat more. Why won't he eat? Shaking those thoughts aside, he addressed Saeyoung.

"Savior told me you were causing trouble again."

"I was just trying to do what's right," Saeyoung said quietly.

"By helping us, you are doing whats right. You are leading sinners to paradise."

"Paradise?" Saeyoung sputtered. "Are you deaf? Do you not hear your 'initiates' after they take the so-called medicine?" Saeran winced inwardly. "Do you not hear their screams? The lifeless look in their eyes? How can you call that Paradise?"

"Because they are accepted for who they are, no matter what is wrong with them," Saeran replied, outwardly confident. But that little thought wouldn't go away. What if he's right?

"Whether or not you are accepted doesn't matter if you aren't happy," Saeyoung replied stubbornly.

But then why are MC and Seyong happy? Isn't it because they were accepted by the RFA?

"I hope you can find it in yourself to understand that, Saeran."

Saeran stiffened. "Don't call me that..! You have no right," he spat. Angrily, he took the photos of MC out of his pocket and held them up. "If you want her to stay happy - and not a bloody mess - then you should stop arguing and continue on with your job, prisoner 707."

Saeran couldn't help noticing Saeyoung's eyes...so full of hope, defeat and love that it lit up his entire figure, just from seeing a picture of the love of his life. How can he look like that even after I threaten to take her away?
He turned away. "Just make sure you do your job, 707. It doesn't matter what you think or believe. Helping us find initiates is all you need to worry about."

Saeran took a few steps, and then hesitated.
"And Luciel...make sure you eat something."

He left, leaving Saeyoung looking after him in confusion.

~~~
Well well, it looks like Saeran has changed in the last few years.
I really don't like this chapter, but I guess it came out somewhat ok. But still, bleh. >.<
Anyway, enjoy! ^^
