Chapter 2

Kiara's pov
The results are out and I don't believe it how is my company ranked second. I was basically freaking out and my best friend, PA, adviser Nicolett Hayes or should I say nick was trying to calm me down,she is amazing with her black hair , grey eyes and s good figure.

she has been my best friend since, I don't even remember we did everything together, she stays with me in my house, for people she is my PA but for me she is family, as she handed me a bar of chocolate. 

Yess I'm 24 but I still love chocolates that's the only thing that calms me down. Thats when my phone buzzed , but I was in no mood of talking with anyone, so I tossed it to  Nick signaling her to talk for me and she did.

When she hung up she said ,  "Alright miss we're supposed to attend a board meeting at four and the venue is Mr Warner's office, so let's get you ready"

" wait what , who was on the other side and why is this board meeting held , anyway I don't remember getting notified before"

" oh kiara remember the results are out I guess it's probably regarding this, wait if it's for this , then that means Max Johnson would be there as well, oh my God kiara we better hurry up we still have to get you dressed, oh my God I don't believe it we're finally going to meet Max Johnson, we first have to decide on a dress then your hair, there's soooo much to do hurry up now"

"wait clam down who the hell is Max Johnson and why am I getting ready for him you-know I hate getting ready, what's wrong with the clothes I'm wearing?"

I let out a sigh knowing that I'll have to do as she says cause when it comes to fashion no one is better than nick.

She frowned at me in disbelief as if I had said that I didn't know who was the first person to step on the moon.

" oh kiara grow up Max Johnson is the most Alligeble bachelor of all times he is extremely hot and is the CEO of the Johnson&co the company that beat ours, girls die over him, he is certified has 'the playboy' and you are going to meet him for the first time you've got to make an impression, don't worry I'll make you look like a goddess. o he'll be head over heels for you"

At that time my blood started to boil I completely hated guys like him who do not care about the girls they  date and cheat, the girl could go and kill herself but those rich brats wouldn't give a damn.

ohh I would love to show Mr Max Johnson his place. let's see how he really is. With that I agreed to get dressed and go to the meeting.

It took an hour or so for me to get ready and this blue dress was not comfortable at all.

I had asked or should I say pleaded to Nick not put a lot of makeup on me and Make me look like I had my face plastered with cake, and yes  finally nick agreed to keep my make up to minimum and she also tied my long golden brown hair that came up-to my waist in a high ponytail.

While leaving my company I  asked Nick to take some files with her as we will be directly going to a meeting after that.

The moment we reached.
I checked my watch, I have this weird habit of wearing my watch in my right hand but anyway I got to know that I was 20 mins late darn that's it.

I'm mostly punctual, nick and I rushed up towards the conference room, as I was about to enter nick caught my hand and signaled me to come after her I guess she wanted me to have a dramatic kind of an entry.

I sighed and went inside after like 2 mins. The moment I got inside the room .

I saw three men proudly sitting on the chair. They were obviously the board members aside from them I saw Adeline.
