Ch.3 The Penguin and The Cub

Chaeyoung's POV
After my No Jam Bro left the hospital and went home with Jihyo, Momo, Dahyun, Tzuyu and Sana, i dragged Mina off with me. Nayeon got a cal from someone so she left earlier. Mina has been acting weird lately. She's been getting closer to Nayeon and i dont like that. It's Michaeng not Minayeon! Its not Mitzu, Mimo, or any other ships! It. Is. Michaeng! The penguin and the cub!

I pulled her to a cafe nearby and ordered a strawberry milk for myself and she ordered an americano. "Are you okay Chae? Why'd you pull me here?" She asked, taking a sip of her drink. I didn't bother looking at her, i just kept stirring the milk with my straw, "You've been getting closer to Nayeonie..."i trailed off. She cleared her throat and calmly said, "She's been really sad lately. She has also been avoiding Jeongyeon. She doesn't seem to remember Nayeon but remembers us, even if it was just a little. She remember Momo's face and name, my name, that 'Chaeyoung was a short kid', Tzuyu was a tree, so on so forth. But when it came to Nayeon she didn't remember a single thing," she paused a little before continuing, "Nayeon just needs someone to love her..."

I'm not sure why but it sounded like Mina actually liked Nayeon more than a member, friend or even sister and I've got to be honest... it hurt.

"Oh.." I looked up at her, "What about JB? He's her boyfriend isn't he?" What i said came out a little more harsh than i intended. "They broke up the day Jeongyeon woke up." She said, finishing the last of her americano. "Oh.. i see. So y-you're the one to love her?" There was a hint of pain and heartbreak in my voice and of course she had to notice it. "What? No not like that! I'm just making sure she's okay! I love her as a friend, a sister not like that!" She said, a little too loud. Some people sitting near us stared at us as if we were crazy. I just giggled a little at how cute she was. I was kind of glad that she said that, too loud of not, i was still happy.

Wait wait let me clear one thing up. I did NOT like Minari. I just didn't like the fact that she was getting closer to someone else... that's all. Plus I'm straight. Probably. Maybe... i think? Well the point is, no i dont like her. I know what you're thinking. 'She's in denial.' NO I AM NOT! I dont like her like that. (Fourth wall broken... like my heartu-)

"Hello?" Mina shook my hand (jungshook). "Hmm? Oh uh sorry i spaced out a little..." i smiled at her, then looked at our hands and blushed, pulling my hand away. "H-hey how about we go do something fun! Just the 2 of us!" I suggested. She thought about something for a little, making her blush. 'Ne? Nani?'

Mina's POV
"Hey how about we do something fun! Just the 2 of us!" She said smiling like a little kid, showing off her cute dimples. 'Wait so.. like a date? Nyaaa no it cant be a date. Chaeng doesn't like me like that! Shut up Mina stop blushing!' I mentally scolded myself. "I- uh- um... s-sure." I let out a nervous laugh before she grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the cafe and called a cab. She whispered something to the driver and he started driving.

"Yah Chaeng~ where are we going?" I said, putting on my seatbelt. She looked at me while grinning. "Its a surprise!" She giggled and i swear my heart melted. I sighed softly as I laid my head on her shoulder. She stiffened up a little but soon after she relaxed and rested her head on mine. I couldnt help but smile. I held her hand and noticed that the driver was looking at us with his mirror. He was smiling and decided to ask, "Are you 2 dating?" I pushed myself off of her, blushing furiously and she was too. "Wha- n-no sir!" I stuttered. I was as red as a tomato. He just chuckled, "Anywho, we're here." Chaeyoung pulled out her wallet, offering to pay, "How much as it sir?" "Ah its on me. Go have fun kids." He smiled. We thanked him and got out of the cab. We were at an amusement park!

Before i could say anything i saw her run off towards this massive thing. It had a bunch of seats and went up and down. Okay bad description but trust me it looked terrifying. I ran after her. "Can we?" She looked up at me with those eyes and precious face, i couldnt say no. She squealed like a little kid. When it was our turn to get on i was terrified. I screamed so loud it kinda sounded like a whistle meanwhile Chaeyoung was just laughing the whole time. She held my hand and i blushed, but continued to scream because fuck this was terrifying, although holding her hand did calm me down a little.

We got off and she grabbed my hand again, intertwining our fingers. "Where do you wanna go next?" She asked. I pointed to a game nearby. It was a throwing game where you had to knock down come cans with a ball to win a prize. We walked over and payed for 3 throws. I missed the first throw, hit 2 cans with the second one and knocked down the last can with the last ball. "What would you like ma'am?" The person asked me. I smiled and point at a stuffed lion toy, "that please!" They handed it to me and i thanked them. "That's so cute!" She said looking a the toy. "You're cuter.." i mumbled under my breathe and gave it to her, "Here! I got it because it reminded me of you." I said blushing. Her checks turned slightly pink. She took the stuffy and buried her face into it.

We went around on some other rides and bought some ice cream. "Ah Minari~ you got some on your face!" She reached over, wiping the ice cream off of my check with her thumb. I turned red as she licked the cream off her finger. She saw me blush and smirked a little. "Let's go to the Ferris wheel! Its getting late lets go!" She stood up. "Come on Mina please?" She begged. I sighed, "Fine but- YAH WAIT UP!" Before i could even finish my sentence she ran off. I finally caught up to her. She was already in line waiting for our turn, luckily it wasn't that long.

"Next!" The guy shouted. He opened the door for us and we walked in, sitting down next to each other. "Wow its so pretty up here!" I said looking outside at all the lights and rides. It was mesmerising. I looked over at Chae and saw her staring at me. I smiled and asked, "Something wrong?" She grabbed my hand and held it. "Minari.. do you like someone?" "W-what? Why are y-you asking me this all of a sudden?!" She just shrugged. "W-well... yeah i do.. she is," I paused a little, smiling, "She is amazing. The most beautiful girl every, sexy, cute, and cool all in one." I blushed softly. "Oh... alright." She muttered before letting go of my hand. "Who is it? Do i know her?" She smiled. "Yeah.. you know her better than everyone else in the whole entire world." "Hmm? Who is it?" She looked so confused, it was the cutest thing ever. "You." I simply said. She blinked a few times and turned away, not answering or saying anything. Before i knew it the Ferris wheel had stopped and the door swung open. She walked out first and i went out after her. I felt tears threatening to fall. 'I'm so stupid why did i confess?! I just ruined everything!'

"Let's call a cab-" i cut her off, "Its fine. I have to go somewhere else. You go home by yourself. Bye." I said, walking off before she could say anything else. I just kept walking. I didn't know where i was going, nor did i care, I just didn't want to see her. Tears started to fall. I arrived at the park and sat on the swing, trying to calm myself down.

"Mina?" A voice called out to me. 'Who was it?' I turned around and saw someone i never expected to see.
