The Same Kind

Harith's P.O.V

After that night, Nana invited me to her home. Right now, she's making me something to eat. I sat at the couch, regretting that I ever asked Nana, 'What happened?' that night.

You see, I'm somewhat what you call a "time traveler". I can travel through time, whenever I want to, wherever I want want to. But I can't change the future, I can only see it and its possibilities.

That night, I went back in time to see what happened and I immediately understood why she was on tears that time. I sighed and leaned at the couch.

"Are you okay?" asked Nana, who was carrying some food in a tray.

"Uh, yeah I'm doing fine." I lied with a smile. She nodded her head and placed the food at a small table that is in front of the couch. I thanked her for the food and she walked away.

As I started to eat, I looked over to Nana, who is now washing the dishes. She has a tail, just like me. She also has ears similar to mine. I wondered if we are the same kind. But how come I never knew her?

She finished washing the dishes and walked towards me. I invited her to sit with me and eat. She accepted and sat down. This is my chance to ask her.

"If I'm not a bother but, what's your name?" She asked me first.

"Oh, uh, Harith, the time traveller" I replied.

"So that's why." She said

"What's why?" I asked

"You travel through time, that's why you knew what happened that night, and why you already know my name. Isn't that right?" She explained with a serious tone.

"I guess your smart" I complimented with a chuckle.

"People say that I have great hearing and can remember things easily" She said with a weak smile. I just gave her a weak laugh. She just stared into the floor and played with her tail. I guess she couldn't handle the pain of losing her friends.

"How about you?" I asked with a sad face

"What about me?" She asked.

"Are you okay? I mean, losing your friends... It must be hard. But, I can't relate because I for one, don't have any friends... So I just ask if your okay..." I explained

She looked at me with wide eyes and a half open mouth. "Then how about, I'll be your first" she suggested with a smile

"My first what?" I asked her with a confused look

"Your first friend" she gave me a big smile and a thumbs up

My first friend? I didn't have a friend before, only acquaintances. I was shocked to hear her suggestion, yet I was happy.

"Okay, I accept." I accepted and reached my hand for a hand shake. Nana just looked at my hand and looked at me with a displeased look.

"What?" I asked out of frustration

"You got a lot to learn. We don't shake hands as friends, we do this" she explained as she positioned my hand and her hand. To my surprise, she gave me a high-five.

"Then you will teach me" I laughed. She laughed along with me. What a relief, she's happy again.

"By the way, since we're friends now, would you go with me to slay the mysterious figure?" Nana asked me "I would need some help, and you seem to be the perfect fit!"

I looked at her and thought about it for a bit. Its true that she can't defeat the mysterious figure alone but, what if it would only make more bad memories for her.

"Alright, I'll go with you" I agreed with a smile

"So what's the plan?" She asked me with a serious face

"The plan?" I asked with frustration "Okay, let's see. We can find reinforcements first, then we attack"

"Sounds like a plan" Nana agreed

I stood up and looked at the sky from the window. We still have time. "We can go right now" I suggested.

"I know just where to start" she proclaimed with a proud tone

Nana's P.O.V

We decided to see Angela first. She's a great support and she'd help a lot in slaying this mysterious figure.

"Can you describe this 'Angela' to me?" Harrith asked me.

"Well, she's a very special 'creation'. She's a doll, but not the scary ones. She's amazing! She's cute, kind and super good at healing." I described Angela

"She sounds great" he replied.

We arrived at her doorstep and I knocked at the door.

Knock, Knock, Knock

"Angela? Its Nana! And I brought a guest! He's new!We're here to visit!" I called out. But no answer. What? Angela usually gets the door right away.

Knock, Knock, Knock

I knock once again. But the door opened slowly by itself. Harith opened the door and I didn't see Angela or her little companion. What? Whenever she goes out, she usually leaves a note. But no note here...

I step in the house. "Angela? I'm coming in..."

"Does this Angela always leave the door open whenever she's gone?" Harith asked me

"No, she rarely even leaves the house" I said with frustration

I checked each room and Harith checked outside. She's not in any of the rooms. Where is she?

"Uhhh, Nana, you better come and see this..." Harith called out

I ran outside and stood beside Harith. I looked to where he was looking. I gasped. I started to tear up again. Angela... And her little companion were both turned to stone. Just like Harley and Miya....

Why was this mysterious figure after the heroes of Mobile Legends?! Especially my friends....

Harrith placed his hand on my shoulder. "I'm really sorry Nana..."

"I-Its fine, its not your fault..." I tried to hide my tears

"We should head back, Nana. Its getting late and were not so sure if its safe out here.." He explained

"All right..." I sadly accepted. As we walked away from Angela, I looked at her. She looks scared and confused. I swear to this mysterious figure, I will make you pay for what you did to my friends.
