Judd scowls at the people who stare at us in the hallway. He's leant up against the locker, facing me as I collect my stuff for the next class. He stands kind of awkwardly, not used to the attention, darting his eyes around the hallway. I chuckle under my breath, it was unusual and kind of cute to see him out of his comfort zone and vulnerable.
"Ill pick you up at 7:00 tomorrow night." He says abruptly, his deep voice low enough so only I can hear.
"What? Tomorrow?"
"Yeah."
I pause, smirking up at him. "You mean like a Valentines date?"
He shifts awkwardly onto one foot.
"Yeah."
He pauses, looking down at my smirking face.
"What are you looking at?!" He growls, but his eyes sparkle.
It was Valentines day tomorrow. I had thought that Valentines day was the last thing Judd would want to do, so to be honest, i had forgotten all about it.
He smirks back at me "Look, shut up, no more questions. See you tomorrow."
With that, he quickly takes a look around to see if anyones watching before planting a small kiss on my forehead. He lightly flicks my ear before smirking and fiercely walking off.
I watch him as he leaves, striding through the halls making the other students panic as they dart out of his way. His back pack slung over one shoulder as he saunters away.
Chuckling to myself, i collect my books and head to class.

Leah smiles at me as I walk in, i sit in the free desk directly behind her. We were in a maths lesson, both our least favourite subject. Plus, our teacher was so boring, Leah and I just ended up teaching ourselves outside of school and passing notes during class.
I rip up a piece of paper from the back of my book.

- any plans for tomorrow? -
I scrawl, scrunching up the piece of paper and lightly throwing it onto her desk. She discreetly reaches out and grabs it, before reading it and replying. Not only had Leah and I mastered the note passing, but our teacher was such an old drone that he would never notice anyway.
The piece of paper lightly lands back on my desk.

- nope, boys at this school are useless. I doubt youre doing anything with the demon. Want to hang out tomorrow-

I bite my lip thinking about my response I felt bad for leaving Leah alone on Valentines day, but i wasnt going to stand up Judd.

- Sorry Lee! Judds actually planned something?! Took me by surprise. Maybe after? -

After reading and replying, Leah throws the note back.

- ew, no. The last thing i want to do is third wheel with you two. Plus, I totally doubt there will be an 'after' -

She turns to smirk at me as I read the reply. I smirk back. I thought Leah would be more awkward talking about her brother in that way. But as ive come to know, the Birch's have a very open household.
I kick the back of her chair lightly causing her to giggle.
Our teacher shoots us a stern look and we settle down, riding out the rest of class.

The next day, Judd wasnt at school. Although this wasnt a huge surprise, he really rarely was.
I join Leah, standing at her locker.
She gives me a smile and a nod as she leans back against her locker surveying the scene before us.
The entire school was decked out in pink as couples and teens affectionately made out and exchanged gifts in the hallway.
"Totally pathetic." She sighs before turning back to her locker trying to open the lock.
I smile.
"Oh come on, Leah. Youd be all over this if you had a Valentine." I tease.
Tallulah comes up behind me joining the conversation.
"Shes right." Tallulah says whilst smirking at Leah.
Leah rolls her eyes in response but shes smiling. Leah opens the lock, her locker door bursting open as flowers, chocolates and cards spill onto the floor.
"Oh my Gos-What the fuck-" i start, stepping back to avoid the display.
Tallulah giggles. "This happens every year, Leah has a lot of admirers."
"I'd say!" I giggle, shocked by the overflowing amount of valentines that have spilled out of Leah's locker. Leah laughs too, as she tries to shove it all back in her locker. I sneak a few chocolates, she wont notice.
I head over to my own locker. Unsuspecting of any such display. But when i opened it, there stood a single rose. It was really really dark velvet red. It was beautiful and I couldnt help but smile to myself. My heart fluttered at the thought that Judd could have done this. Trying erase the blush from my cheeks i try not to think about Judd, think about tonight.
So i pop one of Leahs chocolates in my mouth and head off the class.
