When I wake up, I'm surrounded by my family and some other people I don't know. What's going on? I try to sit up but I can't feel anything. I try to speak but my mouth won't move.
"She's awake", I hear my mom exclaim.
Why do I hear beeping noises in the background? Why are all of these people surrounding me? I need answers but I can't ask questions for some reason. What happened to me? I can't remember anything that happened. Why are there strangers around me? I have no idea who these people are but they are all excited that I finally woke up.
Just then a nurse walks in. She says that the medication they gave me has side effects such as paralyses. She tells me to try and get some rest and they will be worn off when I wake up.
The next morning I wake up and I can move again. I still have no idea why I am in the hospital. When I sit up to eat breakfast, I start asking questions. They only let me ask one person at a time so that I can ask them questions individually. I tell them I want to see my mom, but they tell me she had to go to work. Just then a boy about my age comes in. He is tall and very hot but I don't know why he is here.
"Hey Crystal. How are you doing? I've been dying to see you", he says to me.
How does he know my name? I've never seen this guy ever in my life.
"Who are you and how do you know my name?", I ask suspiciously.
He looks hurt when I ask the question.
"What are you talking about? You don't remember me?", he asks with a sad tone in his voice.
"No. I have never seen you before in my life"
He turns to the nurse and asks, "Why doesn't she remember me?"
"We have already talked about this Mr. Taylor, she suffered from a major head injury and has lost some of her memory", she explains to him.
Head injury? What did I do to cause myself to have a head injury?
"I know you obviously don't remember me, but my name is Jake. I am your boyfriend."
