Dear reader,

First of all: Thank you so much for taking an interest in this book and (virtually) flipping the proverbial first page!

I am still new in the writing game, so comments and constructive criticism are highly appreciated. If you have any ideas as to how the story might continue or how I can improve my writing, please feel free to contact me.

This is a fanfiction in every sense of the word, meaning that it was written by a Harry Potter fan (obviously, one might add) and that it is a work of fiction. By "fiction", I mean not only that this is a story about witchcraft and wizardry, but also that most events and conversations are my own ideas and not Joanne K. Rowling's. However, I have put, and am still putting, a great deal of effort into doing thorough research so that there are no contradictions to anything mentioned in the Harry Potter series, on Pottermore.com or on Joanne K. Rowling's different social media accounts. I merely strive to tell everything we already know about the Marauders' time at Hogwarts, but with more details.

Please note that English is not my native language and be so kind as to overlook possible mistakes or - even better! - tell me about them. I am working on this in English in order to improve my writing and make the story accessible to more readers around the globe.

Last but not least: I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I am enjoying the writing process!

PS: I'm not a great believer in author's notes at the beginning or end of a chapter, as I feel this disrupts the reading experience. So either I'll just write a comment to my own chapter when I have something to tell or ask you, or I'll put small author's notes in between chapters. Which option do you prefer?
