Also seen in THE BOOK OF ALL THING BILLIE EILISH by me
"Billie, I had the greatest idea!" you say on a snowy December morning, only weeks before Christmas.
"What is it, Y/N?" Billie asks.
"We could go door-to-door Christmas caroling," you say. "Wouldn't that be fun?"
"No," Billie replies with a smirk.
"Pleeee-aassseeee, Billie?" you beg.
"What's in it for me?" Billie says, poking her tongue out at you.
"Anything you want," you promise, lifting a hand. "I swear."
"You could dye your hair blue to match mine," Billie suggests, grinning as she points at her newly-dyed blue hair.
"Really? That's what you want?" you laugh. "Okay, why not? Now let's go caroling!"
"Alright," Billie says, slipping on her coat and following you out into the snow. You approach your neighbour's house and knock politely on the door.
"Yes?" says a raspy voice. An old woman with hair as white as snow opens the door and peers out warily at you and Billie. "Can I help you?"
"Yes." Nodding at Billie, you both smile and start to sing Jingle Bells.
"Oh, my," the woman gasps as soon as you both end the song. "That... that was lovely! Oh, good Lord, it's like God has sent angels from above!"
"Well, she's no angel," you joke, pointing to Billie, and Billie laughs and elbows you playfully.
"That was amazing," the old woman continues. "Truly amazing. Thank you."
"Have a merry Christmas," you and Billie say, and then move on to the next house.
"Hello?" you say softly, knocking on the door.
"Hi." A little boy, around the age of seven, opens the door and looks up at you and Billie, confused. "Who are you?"
"I'm Billie," Billie says.
"I'm Y/N," you say. Nodding over at Billie, you both start to sing Last Christmas. When you're done, the boy smiles.
"You two sing pretty," the boy says.
"Thank you. Have a wonderful holiday season!" you and Billie say, and then move on to the next house. By the end of the day, you've both caroled at so many houses that you've lost count!
"Remember our deal. You're gonna dye your hair blue," Billie reminds you with a chuckle.
"I know," you say with a laugh.
