"Y/N! Come here! Come look and see what I've got!" calls Billie.

"What is it, Eyelash?" you tease, coming over to where she stands. And you scream.

"What?" Billie says, cocking her head and looking at you in confusion.

"S... s... spider!" you shriek, pointing to the hairy tarantula sitting on Billie's shoulder.

"Oh," Billie says slowly, calmly looking at her shoulder where the hairy arachnid is perched. "Yeah, that's a spider."

"Hold still, I'll kill it," you declare, picking up a book to hit it with.

"No!" Billie screams, lifting the spider up and gently cradling it against her neck like a wounded puppy. "I won't let you kill him! He's my pet!"

"What?" you say, setting the book back down and staring at Billie.

"Yeah, this spider's my pet. And he's going to be in my music video for 'You Should See Me In A Crown.' I got him a while back, but I never got to show you until now. I swear he's friendly. I really like him. He's even trained," Billie says calmly as the spider crawls slowly across her neck and up her face.

"Oh God, that is so bloody weird," you gag, backing up. "I don't want that thing near me!"

"Oh, come on, Y/N. I told you he's my pet. He's trained. He's harmless. I even named him. His name is Little Devil," Billie says as the spider continues to crawl up her face and then sit on top of her head.

"It's ugly," you announce.

"I think it's kind of cute," Billie says.

"Well, I don't want to even look at it," you declare as you back away more.

"Come on, don't be afraid. Here, you can try holding him. I promise it won't be as bad as you think," Billie says soothingly, holding out Little Devil to you.

"Okay, fine," you finally agree. "But if it makes one wrong move, I am going to beat it to death with that book right there."

"Here," Billie says, holding out her hand. You hold out yours too, and the spider carefully sidles from Billie's hand to yours. There, the spider perches calmly. You reach out a shaking finger and gently give it a little pat on the back. After a while, your body relaxes. The spider really does seem tame. You eventually pass the spider back to Billie.

"You did it!" Billie cheers. "I'm so proud of you."

"Yeah," you say, smiling happily. "But can we do one more thing?"

"What's that?" Billie asks.

"Can we go to the pet store to look for a spider for me?" you ask with a grin.
