10:23amDawnette was in the kitchen fixing both her and Kyan a plate of breakfast. She had prepared her son's favorite: French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. Speaking of her son, he was the first one up early at nine fifty-six in the morning, shaking her awake to make his favorite. She didn't mind being woken up to cook breakfast.
That's her son.
She'll do anything for him.
It didn't take her long to finish, the aroma of what's been cooked spreading throughout the entire house. Setting both plates down on the kitchen island, Dawnette makes her way over to the fridge, pulling it open and grabbing the quart of orange juice. Closing the door, she pulls open the dishwasher and retrieve two freshly, cleaned glasses and set them on the counter after closing up the dishwasher.
Peeling the opening of the quart, she pours the cold, orange liquid into the first glass, filling it up just a little bit, then doing the same to the other. As she's doing this, Dawnette hears little patter of feet running in the direction of the kitchen.
"Mommy, is the frenchy toasty almost done?" He asks her in his soft voice, impatiently.
Dawnette couldn't help but to giggle lightly to herself at this. She always did. It was so cute how Kyan would call French toast 'frenchy toasty'.
Just the cutest thing ever.
"Yes, baby, it's done. Yours is on the island in the Ninja Turtles plate, so go take a seat on the stool." She tells him sweetly.
Kyan did what his mother told him to after hearing her say that breakfast was done. Climbing up the two silver rails on the legs of the stool, he takes his seat on the tan, leather covered cushion and started on his breakfast. He did not waste anytime to dig in.
After putting away the orange juice back in the fridge, Dawnette turns around and makes her way over to Kyan with both glasses filled with orange juice. She sets one of them next to Kyan's plate as he ate then sets her down next to her plate as she took a seat on the stool next to him. She grabs the bottle of syrup, pouring some onto his French toast for him and some on hers as well.
"Is it good like always, baby?" She questions him with a smile on her face, setting the bottle of syrup back down.
He nods his head vigorously, chewing his food. Dawnette began eating her breakfast, forking some of the scrambled eggs.
"Mommy?"
Dawnette swallows her food before replying. "Yes, baby?"
"What are we doing today?" He takes a small bite of his bacon strip.
Dawnette really wanted to tell him that they will be going to Neverland, but she didn't want to spoil the surprise. The funny thing is, Kyan wouldn't just be going to meet Michael Jackson the superstar. He was going to meet Michael Jackson his father.
"Well," she starts off to say, taking a sip of her orange juice, "I can't really say, sweetie. It's a surprise. You like surprises don't ya?"
"Yeah!" He exclaims with a smile.
"Okay. When we get to where we're goin', you'll know then. But for now, I can't say, okay?"
He nods. "Okay."
Upon hearing his response, her house phone in the living room began to ring. She sighs as she gets down from the stool and began to make her way to the annoying sound of the phone ringing.
She picks up the cordless phone, pressing the talk button. "Hello?" She answers.
"Hey, Dawnie, it's me."
