Chapter 12 Secrets revealed

I woke up sweating, and sat in the end of my bed.

"Umm, honey are you ok."

"Yes, yes I'm fine, I just forgot to clean a few things I'll at the daycare so I'll be heading over early, oh and I'll probably be coming home late again because Melody is coming around again, to dig deeper into this girls files." I Smiled at him.

"Ok, but just take it easy . . . And don't creep her out like you did the last one."

"Yeah. That kid nearly killed me.

"Get away from me you freak." Screamed a boy.

"No I swear I am just trying to help you, I promise." He threw lightning bolts at me, it grazed my arm.

"Well if you have tried to defend yourself you wouldn't have even got a scratch."

"Yes but I could have hurt him really bad. Oh my goodness it's 5:30 I have to go." I yelled at him as I ran out he bedroom door.

"Mrofinu ym ni em sserd." As I said that my uniform came flying out of the cupboard and onto me.

"You do realise that you can calm down because you could get ready and at the day care in a couple of seconds."

"Oh yeh I could, well then do you care to eat breakfast with me."

"Why not." He got up out of bed.

"Dnabsuh ym sserd." I said and he was dressed.

"You do realise I can dress myself."

"Yes but if I had let you we wouldn't have even had a couple of minutes together." Soon our couple of minutes were up.

"Sorry honey but I'll have to go." I gave him a kiss.

"Eracyad eht ot em ekat."

"Come on scarlet, get out of bed it's time to go." I crept out of bed and looked at the clock on the floor where the table used to be.

"But it's 5:45, it's too early."

"Yes but the daycare opens at six on Thursdays, so I'm dropping you off now. I've got a nail appointment at 6:30."

"Yes and why anyone would book a nail treatment that early is beyond me." I sighed as I got out of bed. I walked slowly down the hall when I remembered what happened yesterday, and as soon as i got to the daycare I was going to ask Mrs Everglades if I could practice my powers during the day.

"Coming mum." I screamed down the hallway then came back to my room. I looked toward the cupboard, I was happy and wanted to chose a happy colour to wear. But all I had in my cupboard was red and black. I never understood why mum only brought the colour red for me to wear, I loved the colour but sometimes like this I wished I could wear something else, I reached in and grabbed a bright red not a dark, it almost seemed like a reddish pink so I put the t-shirt on happily, and reached for some faded black jeans that looked more of a bluey-grey. I ran down the stairs.

"Ready to go mum."

"What about breakfast?"

"I'm not hungry right now and besides if it's this early in the morning I'm sure they'll have something for me to have when I get there."

"Okay then get in the car." I did and within a matter of minutes we arrived at the daycare. We looked at the door, but it was still locked, mum looked at her watch.

"It should be opening in a couple of minutes, I'll go and grab your things." She stepped out of the car. I sat there and thought about what I would say to Mrs Everglades. When suddenly she appeared, I rubbed my eyes to see if I was dreaming, but I wasn't she had just appeared, she was a mutant, and that means that the whole daycare must be for mutants, I wonder if mum knows about that. Hmm she probably doesn't even care.
