Chapter 8 Lachlan's who?

"Why do you have to leave?" I asked looking at Lachlan.

"Because I now know that your not my dad do I have to try and find him, don't worry I'll be back to teach you how to use air, but by the looks of it you'll have to learn how to use earth first." I looked at him.

"Why?" I asked him.

"Because that is the one that your powers have chosen you to learn, you used them when you wanted to save Krystal, because you wanted to learn that first." I looked at him, and he knew I had no idea what he was talking about, so did Krystal.

"Each time your ready to learn a new element you will consume some of its power to use so that you know it's time." Said Krystal.

"So once it's time for me to learn my next element, than I will use a bit of it to tell me which one to learn next." I stared at Krystal waiting for a response.

"Yes basically, I just worded it differently."

"Yes you worded it so it sounded more confusing and technical than it actually is." I looked at her face waiting for her to break.

"Oh ok, your wording is better."

"Thank you." I turned around to see Lachlan starting to walk out of the door.

"Lachlan wait." He stopped and turned.

"Yes?" I tried to think of a reason that would make him want to stay longer than it came to me.

"Don't you want to ask Krystal why I new that your dad was James?" I was hoping he would say yes.

"I guess so, Krystal any clues?" We both stared at Krystal.

"Well because you Emerald have a connection with all of us, so you are like part of our mind even if something is protected with magic you still know what we are thinking, it's like twins, except you are the twin to all of us."

"So I am the other half of all of your minds?" I asked trying to understand, and it probably didn't help that I didn't know what a twin was.

"Yes practically."

"Well I am sorry Emerald but I have to go now." He came over and gave me a hug, as he did he slipped something into my hand without anyone seeing.

"Use this if you need any help, or if it's my turn, you'll know what to do with it when the time comes." He smiled at me.

"Goodbye everyone." He said as he smiled and walked out the door. I started to walk up the stairs but stopped as I heard Krystal call me.

"Emerald where are you going?" She asked, I turned around.

"Just upstairs to my room." I smiled at her turned around and ran it the stair well.

"I can't believe that Lachlan would run away like that, and just when Emerald was starting to feel connected to him." Sighed Krystal.

"To be honest I think that he had the strongest relationship with her, even stronger than you and me but he didn't even stay for her to start her training." Said Snowdrop.

I walked into my room and shut the door but I didn't lock it because that would be suspicious, then they might come up and the fact that he didn't let anyone see it meant that he didn't want them to see it. I opened my hand and gasped by what I saw a small ball not quite clear but not coloured, a ball of air spinning in my hand. But now could I be holding it I don't control air yet I'll have to ask Krystal if it is possible. I opened the door and started to walk back down the stairs.

"Kry. . ." I stopped speaking as I heard them talking so I started to listen.

"I still don't understand how Lachlan could just walk out on her like that? It's as if he doesn't know what relationship he has with her." Questioned Krystal but to no one in particular.

"What relationship does he have with her?" Asked Snowdrop.

'I would like to know that as well what relationship does he have with me.' I asked myself.

"I don't think that his parents would be happy with him for walking out on her like

this." Said Krystal.

"How do his parents know me?" I asked, Krystal jumped startled.

"It's very rude to eavesdrop you know." I smiled at her.

"Yes I do, but I came down to talk to you and you were talking about me, did you know it's rude to talk about other people behind their back, and besides I didn't know you could sneak up on a telepath." She sighs.

"Yes Lachlan's parents know you they took care of you for a while after your parents left but they weren't any of the scientists and they didn't know you were the elementor." She said.

"But that means that he should have known who i was, doesn't it?" I asked her.

"No he wouldn't have because he never came with them."

"So he had no Idea that his parents helped me, but how do you know then, I mean if you know than you would know . . .my parents?"

"Mrs Everglades do we get to hear about her parents?" Asked Jackson.

"Well Jackson you will find that out later." I said .

"Sorry mrs Everglades." he replied
