SUE'S MIND WAS in turmoil. She was torn between wanting to be where she was now and being back where she was from. But there's no turning back now. She sighed as the cab took her nearer to her destination. She noticed some changes. Nothing too major, fortunately. She'll be able to maneuver around with little difficulty. She missed the lights. The glowing faces of the people, smiling. The bipolar weather, the silence disrupted every now and then. A smile crept gradually on her face. This was her home. Her real home.

Just then, like a giant tidal wave, grief washed over her. She was forced to leave without even bidding goodbye to her friends. Oh, Niall. I'm so sorry. She was missing him already. That bright hair of his that just stands out in the crowd. He stands out even without it. His smile can light up everything. His azure eyes were like sapphire. Sue always thought that they can glow in the dark. They do. Especially when he's happy. I don't suppose he'll ever forgive me. I can't even forgive myself.

"Uh, miss?" A voice with thick accent called out to her.

She turned to the driver and raised her eyebrows, beckoning him to go on.

"We're here." He nodded his head towards the direction of a low building.

She handed him the money and muttered something resembling a "thank you" then hopped out. Sue took a deep breath as her eyes scanned the establishment. It was nothing fancy nor was it big, but it still overwhelmed her. Her emotions almost got the best of her. It's okay, Sue. Keep it together. She strided in slowly, grasping her bag tightly.

Warm air whooshed on her face as she opened the door. The lights were dim, as if reminding her how late it is. She almost shrieked when she saw someone standing there. She was short and pudgy, wearing casual clothing. She looked like she was about to doze off. Her borwn hair was tied into a messy bun, and dark bags were under her eyes.

"Did I scare you, dear? Pardon me if I did." The woman rubbed her eyes. Exhaustion was evident on her features.

"No, not at all. I'm just... shocked." She tried to flash a smile but only managed to display a small one.

"You must be tired, hunny. Come on, I'll lead you to your flat." The woman trundled towards a set of stairs that was just a few feet behind her.

As the two climbed the never ending stairs (at least to Sue), the woman strikes up a conversation every now and then. Just then, a loud ring pierced the stillness. The woman fumbled for something in her backpocket then pulled out a phone. She held up a hand to Sue and turned away for a while.

Sue looked around to distract herself from the wait. They were on the building's third level. She can see all the way down from where she was.

Then the woman announced, "This is the storey where your flat is. Here are the keys." She handed Sue the metal, the material reflecting the light as she does so. "Go to the left and walk until you reach the end of the hallway. Then turn right. The third room is yours. I'm sorry, dear. But I have to go."

"Don't mind it. Thank you, ma'am." Sue nodded curtly and broke off into a fast pace. Rest, here I come! The moment that she reached the door of her apartment was glorius. But what she saw inside made her exhaustion fly out of the window. Panic and curiosity engulfed her at the same time.

On the plush leather couch laid a tall guy with brown, curly (and very messy) hair. His lips were parted a bit, soft snores coming from his mouth. His body occupied the whole space. He looked somewhat familiar to her. But she can't quite place it.

"Er, sweetie?" It was the kind woman - Mrs. Ber.

Sue did an aboutface. "Yes?" She already has an idea what the woman was here for. She gave me the wrong key. She braced herself as the woman opened her mouth.

"I think I owe you an apology." She smiled sheepishly. "I gave you the wrong key. I'm sorry for whatever you saw."

"It's fine. Just a guy sleeping. That's all." Sue shrugged it off.

"Here are your keys. Sorry for the inconvenience." Mrs. Ber handed it to her. "It's for the second room."

"O-Okay." She glanced back at the sleeping figure.

"He's Harry. I like to call him Harold, though. Good child, he is. Needs guidance, though." The woman shook her head as her motherly eyes gazed on him. She then turned to Sue. "Could you do me a favour, dear?"

"It, um, depends." Her stormy gray orbs found their way back into the person who was surprisingly cozy despite his position.

Mrs. Ber beamed. "Since you're neighbors, can you update me with what's going on with him?"

"Sure thing, ma'am," Sue responded politely.

"Thank you, hunny." With that, the woman locked the door and walked away.

Not wanting to stay any longer in the creepy corridor, Sue hurried to her room. As soon as she closed the door, she slid down on it. Harry? Is that why he looks awfully familiar? She shook her vigorously. It can't be. Impossible.
