Martin's POV

"Okay you know what, this yogurt sucks!" Xena complains as she slams the cup on the table. She crosses her arms across her chest as she slumps back in her chair.

"I thought you said you wanted strawberry," I tell her as I grab a cherry from my cup and pull the stem out.

"No, I said I wanted mango strawberry," she leans closer to me and her eyes seem dark when she's this close. I sigh and nod.

"I'm sorry, I'll get you another one," I grab her cup as I stand up from my chair.

"Martin, I'm sorry," she sighs as she grabs my arm, "it's not your fault, maybe I wasn't clear."

"Don't stress it, you want another one?" I offer as I stand by her side.

"It's fine," she stands up and hooks her arm around mine, "can we go?"

I nod and we begin to head out of Tutti Frutti.

"No way," a girl exclaims as she gets out of her car.

"Oh my god, Unique, hi," Xena smiles at her as she lets go of my arm and walks to her. They embrace for a quick second before Unique turns to me.

The girl says a word in another language that I don't understand. It sounded like Spanish but I could be wrong. I hardly ever payed attention in the class.

"This is my friend, Martin," Xena says. I extend my hand out for her to shake and she takes it very firmly.

"Martin," Unique repeats, "nice name."

"I like your name too," I compliment, "it's unique."

"It sure is," she laughs as she rests her hand on my arm for a second. "Oh wow, you work out."

"I play basketball sometimes," I shrug, grinning because of the compliment.

"You're on the team at school?" She leans on her car.

"No, I meant like - with my friends," I nod as I feel Xena's arm rub against my back, "you - uh - you go to Eastwood?"

"Yes, I used to be friends with Ian," she smiles.

"Cool," I smile back at her.

"It's kind of cold, don't you think?" Xena interjects.

"You can have my jacket," I say as I tug it off as quickly as I can and hand it to her. She smiles up at me and her eyes are glossy in the street lights.

"I wish I had a boyfriend like that," Unique stares into my eyes as she gives me a smirk.

"You know, my friend's cousin is having a birthday party, you should come," I offer as I place my hand on her car door, "maybe you'll have fun, if you know what I mean."

I wink at her and she giggles as she nods, "I know what you mean."

"I have to go home," Xena says behind me. I turn around and nod at her.

"It was nice meeting you," I tell Unique, "see you later."

"Bye," she says as I walk away to my car. Xena is right behind me. I go to open the passenger door for her but she brushes my hand away and opens it for herself. I don't say anything and walk around to my side. I get in and Xena is already staring at me with furrowed eyebrows.

"What's up?" I say as I put my seat belt on.

"You were flirting with her Martin!" She shouts.

"I was not," I turn the engine on.

"Oh please," she rolls her eyes, "that fucking wink you gave her. I saw it!"

"I didn't mean it to flirt with her," I shake my head.
