Its been 3 years since that happened. I'm about 4 now, as you should know. I'm being hunted. There is talk about me all over Dragon Island. My heart became harder than it was before. I had depression. So here I am now, in a bush.
I have been hiding in the Forest for years. One or two people saw me and tried to report me, but they didn't make it to any of the Dragon Guards. I gave them a slow painful death.
Another Nature Dragon passed by. I almost gave myself away by gasping. They looked around, then shrugged and walked on. I walked to my shelter.
I made my shelter about a month after I arrived here. I found a hollow tree and freshened it up a little bit. I decided to finish it with some flowers and all of that kind of stuff, but they all wilted and now it is just a plain rotting tree. My stomach growled. It growled so loud that some dragon poked his head around my tree to see who was there. I had grown good at hiding in the shadows. I would make a great darkness dragon...
No, I thought. I shook my head. I am Moon, the Rare Eye, the outcast, the Galaxy Element Dragon. And that is what I always will be. No one can change that.
I decided to take a break and get some fresh air. As I walked out, I felt a few drops on my head and the top of my shoulders. It's just a little bit of rain, I assured myself. It'll end soon.
However, when I was chilling partly under a leaf, the small drip, drip on my scales turned into a hard pitter-patter. I was beginning to get cold. Lightning struck. A loud crash of thunder shook me from my thoughts. I began to walk swiftly to my warm and comfy tree. I heard the leaves crunching under my talons. Lightning struck nearby.
When I got to the place where my tree was, I couldn't believe my eyes. Lightning struck my home! and since it was already rotting it must have just fallen down. I was very upset, but I didn't cry.
Why would I cry? I've been through a lot worse.
.*--*.
I went to go look for shelter. Because I couldn't find any, I climbed up a tree and stayed there for a few days. I decided to come up with a new plan.
First, I would find a good place to live and learn to fly. My home had to be far away from other territories, so I wouldn't be seen. Second, I would find a few other Rare Eyes so we could form a gang. I would lead. Third, I would go and KILL THE QUEEN.
I know my plan sounds scary. But it isn't. At least not for me I could easily achieve my plan of killing the queen and ending whatever dragons have against Rare Eyes. I figured I had to go pretty far away. Since I was Blue and Purple with blotches of white, I wouldn't really fit in. And it would be pretty hard to find other Rare Eyes on my side, so I figured this plan would take a while.
How on earth will I kill the queen!? I know I would have to go through a lot of guards and traps to get to the queen. Ah, I thought, flexing my talons. I know... I would just have to kill. Easy, if you think about it. Just slice a talon across the throat. Ah, yes, I shall perfect the ways of assassinating. I am already good at hiding in the shadows. I would be great at killing. I flexed my talons again. I would teach my group to kill too. The thought of killing the queen made me happy. Oh, yes, just swiping a talon right across her throat...
A bright slim of sunlight quickly spread in the tree. A Nature Dragon popped his head inside. I heard him murmur, "Hafta hide, Hafta hide..." Then he saw me. Perched calmly on a branch, my white pupils calmly gazing into his.
"Hey! It's you! the one they're all talking about. I need to report you. Come with me, you monster!"
"Not so fast, buddy," I snarled at him. He growled. "Do you want to fight me? I can fight!" He tried to jump to my branch to claw at me. I nimbly jumped onto the branch next to it. "Now that you know I'm here, I am not going to let you make it out of here alive!" I roared. He jumped next to me and pinned me to the ground. "I'm not going to let you get away, criminal." I smelled his stinky breath. I took my chance to slice his neck open, where it was exposed.
Slice! I felt my talon go deep into his skin. Blood covered my one talon. But my attention was focused on the dragon who had me pinned. He stared at me in shock. "Sweet mother of -"
He didn't get a chance to finish.
His eyes rolled in the back of his head, and his body collapsed next to me. I stood up and looked at his neck wound. A clean cut, I though, satisfied with what I had done. His body soon slid off of the branch. I jumped down from the tree to get a drink.
I felt scales under my paws.
"GET OFF OF ME!" Yelled the dragon I landed on. He flung me off and I crashed into a tree. Dazed, I got off to see who threw me, and I flexed my talons again. The dragon, who was male, said, "Don't you dare tell the guards about me." He got close to my face, close enough to see that he had a red eye too! He thrust his chest forwards, knocking me back. "Hey! Y-You are a Rare Eye too! Just like me!" I exclaimed, but not so loud that someone would hear me. He stopped pacing and took a closer look at me. "I see. You are the one who is being hunted down by the queen?" I nodded. "Okay. Moon, I believe? I am Tree. I'm a Nature Dragon," he replied.
"Hello, Tree," I said.
Suddenly tree stopped and looked at me. "Have you seen an old looking Nature Dragon crawling around here?" I automatically knew who he was talking about. "He was going to report me to a guard, but then I lost him."
"I killed him," I simply said.
He stared at me with astonishment. Then disappointment. "Damn," he said. "I wanted to kill him instead."
Was he actually upset about that?
"Tree," I began. he looked at me and cocked his head. "Would you like to join my gang? I'm trying to start a rebellion against the queen. No one else is in the gang right now. But would you like to be part of it?"
"Totally," he said. "But." "But what?" I asked. "Only if I get to be leader," he growled jokingly. "Okay, but only for now," I snarled playfully. "What are we waiting for? Lets go find a home!"
And so we left the forest, and into the unknown.
