It was a freezing, rainy saturday and Donghyuck was huddled in the room he shared with Jisung, curling up into the warmth of his blanket.
It was cold as crap and the warmth of his steaming coffee only lasted for a few moments before his chest and throat were burdened with the chill again.
The other dream members were in the main room. Renjun was boasting loudly about some feat he had discovered, Chenle adding in little snippets of sassy commentary that would make the other whine overdramatically.
Jisung had been curled up in a blanket, watching the two exchange words, throwing in his own little jabs every now and then that would make both of his hyungs go to neck-chop him.
Jaemin was sitting on the floor with them (the floor was warmer than anywhere else, so they all stayed close to the ground on cold days like this).
Donghyuck had thought that Jeno had been with the group, enjoying the family-like scenario of everyone being together. He had thought that when Jisung poked his head and said they were all going to a movie, that meant all of them.
He'd be alone, he may be able to rest for a bit to rub off whatever irritation was unreasonably edging at him.
His thoughts were quickly proven to be wrong when there was a gentle knock at the door.
The person behind the barrier between Donghyuck's nest and the rest of the frozen world didn't seem to understand the unspoken rule of 'wait for a response before you come in' and the door slipped open, then shut again behind the lithe figure of Jeno.
Pulling an earbud out, Donghyuck regarded him with a faint 'what do you want and why are you here' stare.
It seemed like they could read each other's minds sometimes, with how they could say such detailed things without even opening their mouths.
Jeno shrugged, shuffling over and pushing himself into Donghyuck's bed.
"It was too cold to go to the movie, I didn't want to leave the dorm" Jeno said softly into Donghyuck's navy shirt sleeve.
Donghyuck sighed, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand. "So what are you doing in my room?"
"Technically, it's also Jisung's" the innocently rebellious voice pointed out without hesitation.
This earned Donghyuck a shove out from the comfort of the warm blankets into the chilly air.
Jeno whined quickly, trying to climb back under the covers that had been warmed to a comfortable temperature by Donghyuck's body heat.
When Donghyuck refused to let him in, Jeno instead climbed right on top of the other boy, straddling his waist, laying on his chest and pouting at him.
"You're so mean Donghyuck" he groaned out, resting his head on Donghyuck's shoulder. "What if I catch a cold because you won't share the blanket?"
"You won't"
"But what if?"
Donghyuck sighed once more. Clearly he wasn't going to argue his way out of this one, and despite his reluctance he very much didn't mind it when Jeno climbed under the blankets, a victorious pride glowing in his chocolate eyes as he curled up at his side, hands around his waist and a leg draped over his own.
Jeno liked cuddle with Donghyuck.
Donghyuck was so small and cute. He was delicate but not fragile, beautiful to the point where you'd want to be careful with him despite knowing that if he were dropped or knocked over he would easily get back up."You're deep in thought again" Donghyuck's soft voice muttered.
He ran a finger softly through the soft strands of Jeno's hair to confirm this, gently stroking the back of his neck.
