Big Brother (pt. 2)

Ira's POV
                              After I teleported both myself and Katie back to the hideout. Everybody seemed confused as to why there was a little kid with me.
Regina:"huh? Ira, who's that?"
Regina asked, pointing to Katie,
Me:"this is my sister, Katie. She has to stay here for the night. My mom's picking her up in the morning."
Marmo and Regina suddenly got excited,
Regina and Marmo:"YES!! ANOTHER GIRL!!"
Katie seemed to be a little bit scared of them, most likely because she doesn't know anyone. She was kinda hiding behind me 😅.
Me:"Katie, you can trust them, ok?"
Katie looked up at me, then smiled and nodded, then she came out of hiding and let Marmo and Regina fully see her. Regina came toward her slowly so that she wouldn't startle her.
Regina:"hi, I'm Regina."
Katie:"h-hi."
Me:"hahaha, don't you mean 'Princess Regina'?"
I said, mockingly. Katie suddenly looked at Regina with amazement.
Katie:"wait, Princess?! Are you really Princess Regina?! Daughter of King Mercenare?!"
Regina:"hey! This little one knows her royals!"
Regina said, obviously satisfied by the fact that Katie had heard about her. Katie giggled.
Suddenly, Bel joined into the conversation,
Bel:"Ira, why is your younger sister even staying here? You of all people should know that this hideout is no place for young children!"
Me:"believe me, I don't want her in danger, but I had no choice! My mom can't pick her up until tomorrow!"
Bel:"but what happened to make her even be here in the first place?! A little girl her age shouldn't be able to use powers, so how is she here?!"
I was about to say something when Katie spoke,
Katie:"it's my fault, sir! I had heard that Ira went missing one day and I went to go find him! I followed the man that said Ira was missing and followed him through a portal! Please don't blame my big brother! I came here on my own!"
Katie said, bowing down. Bel just looked at her, still keeping his straight, cold expression. He shifted his eyes to me.
Me:"...it's only for one night...just let her stay and this will never happen again...I promise."
Bel looked straight at me, not changing his expression at all.
Bel:"...you shouldn't make promises you don't know you can keep...fine, but I expect her to be gone by the time I wake up tomorrow morning..and if she isn't gone by then, there will be serious consequences."
Bel glared at me. I didn't respond, I just stared back at him. Bel walked away and I showed Katie my room. Luckily, I had an extra mattress for her to sleep on.

Charlotte's POV
                                            Well, I guess that's the end of all that drama. Both of my kids are safe and I'm picking one of them up tomorrow!
Aiden:"so? Will Ira be coming home with Katie?"
Aiden asked me, then, my cheerful and happy expression turned a little sad, but I was still smiling,
Me:"no...he can't...he's too busy to even have time for us..."
Aiden:"...don't think like that, you know how much he wishes he could come home...he just can't because he has responsibilities."
Me:"*sigh* I know..I just miss my little boy..."
I said, sadly. Aiden gently rested his hand on mine.
Aiden:"I miss him, too..."
I thought for a moment, then I had a small idea,
Me:"...y'know what? When I see him tomorrow morning, I'm giving him a big hug, I don't care if he gets embarrassed, it's my job to embarrass him and I don't get to do it enough."
Aiden started laughing his head off,
Me:"w-what?! I was just stating the obvious, you Baka King!"
Aiden stops laughing and looks at me,
Aiden:"*sigh* and you wonder how Ira got to be such a tsundere."
His comment made me blush from embarrassment,
Me:"w-what's that supposed to mean?!"
Aiden:"c'mon, Ira may look like me, but he acts like you! Childish and stubborn!"
Aiden laughed, now my ears were burning, I know I act like a teenager sometimes, but he's making it sound like I'm eight! I stand up, grab a newspaper and roll it up...then, I hit him in the head with it, not hard, though.
Aiden:"owie!!"
Aiden pouted, I smirk,
Me:"I may be a tsundere, but I'm most certainly not the childish one!"
Aiden continued to pout and it was my turn to laugh. Suddenly, I felt like we were being watched.

Next morning...

Ira's POV
I woke up to see Katie peacefully sleeping on the mattress on the floor. I smile and get out of bed. I got ready and played on my phone for awhile. After some time, Katie woke up. I told her to get ready and that there was breakfast in the kitchen. I don't eat breakfast, I never have the time, but that doesn't mean she can't have any. After Katie ate breakfast, I tried texting my mom, after I didn't get a response, I tried to call her, still no answer. Now I tried to call my dad, and like my mom, there was no answer!
'What the heck?! Why aren't they answering their phones?! They're supposed to pick Katie up today!'
I thought, finally deciding to shut off my phone. I sigh,
'Alright, change of plans.'
I turn to Katie,
Me:"Katie, stay here, I'm gonna go check something out."
Katie:"ok."
With that, I teleported away, to the Mercenare Realm, where I grew up. I decided I would stop by my parents house and see what was going on. I got there and to my surprise, the front door was wide open. I started to get a little worried. I stepped through the doorway, entering the house, it was quiet. I looked around the house, but not even the maid was there. Though, I still felt like there was someone here. I went into the living room, and my eyes widened. Marmo and Regina suddenly teleported in, but I didn't look at them, my eyes were locked on the floor. Marmo and Regina were beside me now and they saw what I saw. My parents, dead on the floor. I saw a gun on the floor and picked it up by the handle. I focused on the gun and closed my eyes. Flashes of memories came to me in floods, then I opened my eyes and narrowed them.
Regina:"well, w-what happened?"
Me:"...s-someone broke into the house and..used the gun to kill my parents..."
I said, slightly shaking from both the images I saw in my head, and from what I see now. I was trying my hardest not to cry. Marmo put her hand on my shoulder as I stared at the gun. Suddenly, the feeling as if someone was here became stronger, I looked behind us and I immediately knew that someone was there because in the shadows, I could see a wild smile. Marmo and Regina seemed confused,
Regina:"Ira?"
Me:"...w-we have to get out of here...th-the killer is still here..."
Regina and Marmo:"what?"
Me:"WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!"
Just then, a tall, skinny mercenare tried to jump on me, luckily, I dodged him at the last second. Marmo and Regina dodged as well. The man looked straight at me and used his powers to hold Marmo and Regina down, he also used his powers to knock the gun out of my hand, and onto the floor. He pushed me to the ground, knife in hand. He was about to stab me in the chest when I was able to reach for the gun,

BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

...I shot him three times...all three bullets in his chest. He fell to the floor, and let go of the knife, letting me know that he was dead. Marmo and Regina ran over to me and pulled me up. After I was able to properly function, I immediately put the gun down, I was shaking even more than I had been earlier.
Me:"I...I killed him..."
Marmo:"...y-yeah..."
Regina:"..."
I couldn't believe what I had just done..
Regina:"w...we should..go back to the hideout..."
Me:"...y-yeah..."
I took one more look at the man I had just killed, and then I looked at my parents..all of them were killed by the same weapon...
We teleported away and I went to my room, where Katie was. Marmo explained to Bel what happened. Katie was confused as to why I was so shaken up,
Katie:"big brother? What happened? Where's mom and dad?"
I couldn't take it anymore, I hugged Katie and started crying,
Me:"...mom and dad are gone, Katie..."
Katie:"huh? When will they be back?"
Me:"...they're not coming back...they're dead..."
Katie:"..."
Katie started crying too and hugged me back. We cried there, on the floor for what seemed like hours, until Katie fell asleep in my arms.
