The KISS

Part 6

-mistakes everywhere, not edited-

Two weeks passed already and no bad rumours around the campus. Beam become his normal self again and act like usual. His changes caused their friends feel weird again. They think Beam is sick and hit his head.

"now you start to flirt again, why?" ask Pha after he saw Beam giving a lift to a girl.

"because my fated one is still out there. I need to find it right?" Beam grins sheepishly. Pha sighs and look at Kit for help, he hopes Kit will knock some sense to Beam but Kit is busy cursing his phone.

"you look angry kitty, what's wrong?" ask Beam, totally ignores Pha. Pha can nags like a grandma when he wants and Beam doesn't want his ears to bleed.

"that stupid engineering moon!" huff Kit and shoves his phone in his bag.

Pha and Beam laugh at that. They know Mingkwan or Ming, try to court Kit since day one of moon and star competition. Ming already win the campus moon title and try hard to win Kit's heart too.

"don't laugh! I hate his gut, I can tolerate if he wants to court me if I'm a girl which is not!" Kit stomps his feet to the ground. He is really angry.

Pha and Beam look at Kit up and down, front and back. Beam look at Pha and Pha look at Beam. They nod their head as an agreement before say something that they know Kit hate so much.

"You are small and short, your skin is pale" said Pha.

"You can be the girl" said Beam and both of them run away fast.

Kit yells at them and chase after them, Kit is an track athlete during high school. He is fast even though his legs is short. That's why Pha and Beam need to run like crazy.

Beam tries to console Kit because he said Kit can be a girl. Well, Kit is cute enough to be called as a girl. Beam act silly, walking along with Kit, make funny faces in order to make Kit laugh and forgive them.

"Beam" Beam stop walking and turns slowly towards the person who called him. His guts told him to run but he wants to confirm the owner of the voice.

His breath stuck at his throat. He looks at Kit who seems lost. Why Forth is here looking for Beam?

"can we talk?" ask Forth politely, he is always polite and nice, his face is stern that's why people said he is scary.

Beam walks backwards like a small insect try to protect themselves. Beam wants to dash away but Forth caught his hands.

Kit looks at Forth and Beam. He tries to push Forth away from Beam because Forth still holds Beam's arm. Kit tries but not succeed. Forth is stronger than him.

"let me go! What do you want?!" ask Beam seriously. He hates this, he already forget and move on but Forth come when he forget everything already.

"no, we will talk, if you want your friend to hear it fine by me" said Forth and look at Kit

Kit wants to stay and listen for what Forth wants to say but Beam doesn't like the idea. Just Mook know about the kissed, he tends to keep it that way.

"Fine, not now. Tonight?" ask Beam dejected. Kit is shocked with this.

"okay. I will wait at the stall at nine. Yogurt" said Forth and take his leave.

Beam sighs and rubs his face, he hate it so much.

"what are you gonna talk about that I can't hear it?" ask Kit curious.

"nah, small matters. Let's go to class. I'm tired" Beam does sounds tired so Kit let it pass. He will ask Beam later after Beam talk to Forth.

Beam is ready to leave his room when Kit opens his door. Kit come with a demanding posture, he wants to know everything. Beam sigh and wear his shoes.

"don't tell Pha" said Beam to Kit, Kit nods his head still not moving from the door. Beam sighs again and nods his head.

"I will tell you after I meet that engineer" said Beam and Kit smiles satisfied.

He moves to give a way for Beam out from the room. Kit waves to Beam with a happy smile. He got what he wants.

Beam is not happy at all, he follows Mook advice to stay away and avoid Forth at all cost. He succeed to do that for two weeks but fate has something else to do, Forth find Beam after Beam already moving on.

Beam and Forth get their orders and Beam start to eat in silence. He can't look at Forth at all, he will remember the kiss and his eyes unconsciously moves to look at Forth's lips.

"Beam, I want to court you, I will" said Forth after the long silence.

Beams choked on his food and cough terribly. Forth helps Beam to drink waters and pats Beam's back softly.

"what? Are you crazy?!" Beam ask with gritted teeth, he wants to yell but that will cause trouble for them. People will stare.

"no, I'm not crazy. I  want to take responsible" explain Forth and try to touch Beam's hand. Beam pull his hand away from Forth.

"for what?" ask Beam confuse. They did nothing besides the kiss.

"I take your first kiss. I know how much you treasure it" explain Forth softly.

Beam lost his mind. When did Forth hear that? How Forth know about that.

"wait, Mike told you?!" ask Beam enrage, he will kill Mike if Mike is the one responsible to this.

"Mike? Who?" ask Forth back. He doesn't know any man named Mike.

Beam calm a bit when Forth doesn't know Mike, that's mean Mike is not the one to tell Forth. Furthermore, no one is Forth's friend except Pha. Ex friend tho.

"Forth, I forgot everything already. I'm sorry I forced the kiss. Let's move on, can we?" Beam tries to convince Forth.

Beam can't never forget the kiss because that was his first kiss, most people remember their first kiss but Beam chose to let it go. A man as his fated one never cross his mind before. He has enough gay men around him already, let's him be the straight one.

"but I can't forget it. I tried to think that was a drunk move but I can't stop thinking about it" said Forth, desperate to make Beam understand his feeling.

Beam shakes his head and mutters no a few times. There were a few man try to hit on him before but none of them seriously want to court him. Dating a man never cross his mind. He keep imagining his real love is a girl.

"I think you are just confused. I'm straight" Beam tells the truth. He is straight as ruler. A wood ruler, a ruler that can't be bent or else it will break.

"you are but I'm not" said Forth and Beam stunned. He can't register what Forth means. But that's the truth. Beam is confuse like heck.

"why? You kissed thousands people already, why me?" Beam become frustrated, their conversation keep rotating in the same route.
