They think I'm deaf,
Maybe they're right.
Maybe I can't hear them anymore.
Maybe I don't listen to their words the way I used to.
Maybe...maybe...maybe that's why...Maybe that's why they think words don't hurt.
Maybe that's why they think insults can't go through that well of silence.
Maybe that's why they think silence deaden strikes.
Maybe...maybe...maybe....But I'm sick of maybes.
Can't you understand I'm deaf not blind:
Your words, your insults, I see them.
I feel them through my skin,
They send shivers of pain all through my spine. Can't you understand I'm deaf not insensible:
Your blows, your punches, I feel them.
They leave hopeless bruises and darkened scratches behind. But you don't stop..., no..., no you don't ...
And my body looks more and more like the bleeding canvas of a mad painter. But maybe...,yeah maybe one day light will finally pierce through the sound of silence.
A.N:
It was inspired by the song "Sound of Silence" from Simon and Garfunkel.Shout-out to all the people being bullied no matter the reason: don't stay silent, let us hear your voice, what you live is not normal. Talk about it when you live it, for others to be able to help you.
Shout-out to all the people witnessing bullying: don't stay silent, don't ignore. The situation is not normal, and is not going to get better. And by ignoring and not acting you first worsen it and second you become an indirect bully.
And most of all, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
(That's all I wanted to say).
