Wandering on the meadows,
The stars led you somehow
To a place unknown,
Where you got back your crown.
Following the light as the three Magus,
The heaven is your home.
This pale figure of yours
Knows where it goes.Moonchild, Moonchild,
Who are you ?
You came with the tide
And left with the dew.
On the coast where you used to go,
Stands now the shadow of a crow. The lost wanderer of he night
We called you. But we didn't know
You were your own light.
We did not know where to go,
And here you were, under the willow,
Whispering us the way,
Showing us the path.Moonchild, Moonchild,
Who are you ?
You came with the tide
And left with the dew.
On the coast where you used to go,
Stands now the shadow of a crow. You were different, that's all we saw.
Will-o under the willow,
You were mystical and ephemeral.
You were our star, but from afar.
Never should we come too close,
For you would enclose.Moonchild, Moonchild,
Who are you ?
You came with the tide
And left with the dew.
On the coast where you used to go,
Stands now the shadow of a crow. You were just like a star,
You shone with all your light.
But such a fire doesn't last,
And you left us in the night.
The tide had turned, and with your sailing
Did the sea withdraw a last time, as to bide you farewell.Moonchild, Moonchild,
Who are you ?
You came with the tide
And left with the dew.
On the coast where you used to go,
Stands now the shadow of a crow.A.N: this poem was inspired by two songs:
RM - Moonchild and Mecano - Hiro de la Luna.
