After what felt like escaping a tower, Vernon and I made our way to the litle supermarket near the house. We soon went into the supermarket and started shopping.
Although I had to close Vernon's eyes when we walked through the candy isle, it went well. Vernon never stopped cracking jokes and I never stopped laughing, it was like the good old days.
Suddenly a test drop fell down my cheek and I started bawling my eyes out. Vernon was quick to react. pulling me into a hug and sipping my tears with his fingers.
"What's wrong y/n" Vernon asked his voice filled with concern.
"I was just thinking about when we used to be together" I cried.
"Hey, I'm here now. We can pick up after right were we left" Vernon comforted.
"We can't, you're an idol now. It will hurt your career" I cried.
"Y/n, listen-"
"No please, I don't want to ruin you career" I interuppted.
The rest of the walk home was quiet. It seemed like we were strangers who happened to be walking next to each other.
I opened the door to be greeted with an angry Hoseok pacing back and forth.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN" Hoseok yelled.
"Not in the mood for this shit" Vernon yelled back startling Hoseok.
I walked up the stairs followed by Vernon after he handed the groceries to Hoseok. All 6 members were sitting in front if the tv.
"Please stop following me, you can go home now" I said holding back my tears.
But Vernon didn't listen. He kept following me till we reached the bedroom. I looked at him before walking into the room. When will he give up?
Once the door was closed, he started walking towards me. I didn't say anything, I just starred at him. He soon pulled me into a hug.
"It's alright, I'm here. Even if you try and push me away, I'll still be here. I'm here to stay" Vernon whispered into the hug.
"When you need a hug, I'll be here. If you don't want me as a lover, I'll be a friend" he chuckled.
"Thanks, I really needed this" I whispered.
Vernon pulled away and smiled at me.
"That's what friends are for. Now let's go and make some dinner" He smilled before pulling me back into a hug.
