The gates to the leaf village are wide open
I run until I cross the line
A soft breeze hits me softly
I breath out
"Mai, don't get to excited"
I looked back at my sensei
"I won't Aniko-sensei"
I smile
I walk further in the gates
Hearing whispers of "That can't be" or "she's back"
Then I see a certain pink haired girl walking towards the booth where we check in and out
"Sakura?"
She looks over at me
"Mai?" She smiles and runs over
I hold my arms out and engulf her in a hug
"I missed you so much"
"I missed you to"
I let go of her
"I was just gonna return these papers and then we can head to town" I nod my head
"Okay"
"Mai!" I look over to see konohamaru and his friends "Konohamaru!" He again runs towards me, I pick him up spinning him around
He giggles
"You've gotten so big! And I see you've become a genin." I say flicking his head band
He fixes it "Yep! And I've decided I'm gonna be Hokage like Naruto! But after him of course"
I smile at his words, he's grown up so fast
And I've missed it
Aniko lays a hand on my shoulder
I give her a closed eye smile
"Okay, ready to go?"
"Yeah, I'll see you guys afterwards."
I wave to Sakura, Konohamaru, Moegi, and Ubon.
Upon entering town
I again hear whispers of the same thing
"Master Jiraiya?"
I see the legendary sannin stand in front of me.
"Did you get back from training as well? Where's Naruto?"
But there he was
Eye level to me
I smile
A big smile
"Naruto"
I whisper
He smiled back
"Mai, I've missed you"
"I've missed you too" I hug him
And you could tell he was stunned, but hugged me back nonetheless
"It's been three years right?" I say letting go
"Yep, time sure does fly" he responds
"You are definitely taller, and look older"
I say, hoping that his maturity has grown as well. By maturity I mean, is he still the same punk kid.
"Yeah, you too"
"Okay you two, you can walk to lady Tsunade's office together."
Jiraiya says, smiling at the two.
"Sure thing"
Mai says, she looks behind to her senpai,
Then walks with Naruto
"IT FEELS NICE TO BE WITH YOU AGAIN"
"YEP, IVE DEFINITELY MISSED YOU"
