I hear shouting coming from upstairs. I finally had the strength to pull my self up an stumble to the stairs.i pause for a minute before trying to climb the stairs.
The shouting gets louder so I pull my self up the stairs using the hand rail. I get to the top off the stairs to discover my dad punching Dylan so I run and jump on my dad. I don't think about my injuries and my body just takes over my mind. All of a sudden I find myself punching and kicking my dad.
He turns round and tries to push me down the stairs but Dylan just manages to stop him just in time.
I push my dad into the wall and he gives up and walks away. I help Dylan to his feet and give him a big hug.
Dylan"thank you!"
Kate " no thank you, you stuck up for me and you saved me from falling down the stairs!"
I help him to his feet and go and clean up his face just as mum walks in. We just have enough time to make up a believable story before she comes up the stairs to check on us.
