I get out of the car and say goodbye and wait till he had drove off before entering the house just in case he saw what my dad might do to me if he was there. I got out my key and opened the front door. I crept in and closed the door silently and crept upstairs like a ninja. I saw my brother walking across the landing.

"Dylan" I whispered.

Dylan"what??"

Kate"wheres dad??"

Dylan" in the kitchen. why?"

Kate" I've just been on a date"

Dylan" oh that's where you went for 1-2 hours then"

Kate" yeah, if dad comes up distract him as I'm going on the shower to wash of the smell of tom"

Dylan" ok"

He puts his headphones back on and starts talking into them again shouting words like 'shoot' and 'get back' and 'zombie' so I decide to leave him to it.

I jump into the shower and take my clothes with me. I had to wash them in the shower as if I took them downstairs to put in the washing machine then they will smell toms aftershave so I figures it was best not to risk them finding out about my secret boyfriend. As I was in the shower I heard shouting coming from downstairs.

I quickly rinsed my hair off and turned off the shower. The shouting was still going on. I put on my dressing gown and headed downstairs.

The shouting was coming from the kitchen.......

"Is everything alright" I nervously said in a shaky voice.

Mum" yeah everything is fine darling".

Dad" your mother said that I have been drinking too much!!! and I'm not having it".

They started shouting again. the shouting got louder and louder to the point where the neighbours came round. I answered the door and said that it was just a family row that's all so she believed me and went back home again.

I slowly approached the kitchen again.

Mum"get the hell out of my house" she shouted at dad"

Dad"gladly"

I was stood in the doorway as he came towards me. I wasn't thinking at the time and I just stood there whilst he tried to get past me so he punched me in the face and knocked me down. He walked on like nothing happened.
