Mira accepted the cup of tea Felix handed her and then sat down onto a couch. The nine boys all crowded around her and waited for Chan to speak. Chan seated himself across from them and brushed his semi long blonde hair back.
"When we first got here a few years ago, this place was like any other correctional place. Assigned places to eat, places to sleep, and we all had to wear these white uniforms. Nothing really seemed to have color here, just grey, white, and sometimes black. The boys and I would sometimes sneak away to an abandoned bus and chill there until they went searching for us." Mira tapped her cup nervously and then cleared her throat.
"So what happened to the guards and adults?" Chan turned to Minho and gave him a small nod.
"Would you like to tell what happened?" Minho nodded quickly and then took Chan's place at the front.
"Well, basically we started finding things that were kind of out of place, you know? And soon, we found out that there was this like, invisible dome or something that kept us in here, kind of like a force field." Mira choked on her tea and then bit her lip. Minho gave her a small smile and then continued. "We drove the bus through the force field thing and busted out. We left for a few days, but then came back to gather some of our friends we had made."
"When we arrived-" Mira jumped slightly at Felix's deep voice and then settled back into the seat. "When we arrived back here, we saw that the guards and adults were already unsure what to do. So, we decided that the only thing left to do was-"
"Was to take our places in command here." Chan interrupted. They all nodded in unison and Mira smiled. They seemed so close to each other. She set her cup down and then stood.
“I’m happy you guys took over here. May I see where my room is?” Chan nodded and stood.
“Of course. You will be bunking with Changbin. He will show you where to go.” Changbin walked her out of the building and led her to another large building across a large green field.
“I like to keep my room neat. Is that okay with you?” Mira nodded but kept quiet. There was something about him. Something off. He didn’t seem to like her. He opened the door to their room and then closed it behind them. “That will be your bed. Above mine. You can place your stuff there.” Mira nodded and tossed her stuff onto her bed.
“I’ll unpack later. I want to look around a bit wih Hyunjin first.” Changbin frowned at her a little and then shrugged.
“Yea, whatever you want to do. But let me tell you something.” he leaned closer to her and narrowed his eyes. “Don’t think you can be friends with us just because you’re a girl. You have to earn your way into our group.”
