Mira zipped up her backpack and looked down to see Changbin holding up his hand for her to take. She hesitated for a second and then grasped it. He swung her off the top bunk and they started back to the main section of the district. When they arrived they found Chan and Jisung standing in the front. Changbin frowned and got off the motorcycle.
"Stay here, I'll be right back." Mira nodded slowly and then removed her helmet (it had taken a while for her to agree to wear it). She pressed her lips together and brushed her hair back. It had gotten suddenly very hot in the district. She squinted against the sun and then noticed Changbin waving to her. She swung her leg over the seat and headed towards them. Chan gave her a small smile and placed his hand onto her shoulder.
"HyunJin is in his room. Um," Mira stepped away from his touch and found herself pressing against Changbin. She jerked away when she saw Jisung's smirk and headed towards the dorm building.
"I'll go talk to him." She mumbled and ignored the two men the rest of the way. When she arrived at HyunJin's room she found I.N and Woojin standing like guards in front of the door. She paused and then crossed her arms.
"Let me in." Her voice sounded cold and it seemed to ring down the hallway. Woojin slightly flinched but unlocked the door after Chan nodded at him.
"We have some explaining to do." Their leader said grimly. HyunJin was curled up on his bed and Mira's heart almost broke. He looked so upset, even more upset than she was.
'Must be because he trusted them for so long.' She thought sadly. HyunJin sat up when they closed the door and he wiped his eyes. He patted the bed beside her and she slowly sat down. Chan stood in front of them stood tall. He really looked like an amazing leader.
'But could be my mother's murderer.' She pushed the thought out of her mind and snuggled closer to HyunJin... Her only support in this unknown place. This district almost seemed like a whole new world to her."Are we all here?" Chan looked around the room and frowned when he didn't see Jisung. "Where's the Squirrel? He was just here?" Mira furrowed her brow. Squirrel? She almost laughed at the nickname. It was so cute. Jisung soon snuck in and received a sound smack on the back of his neck by Chan. "Alright, since we're all here, let's begin. HyunJin," he turned to the boy curled up on his bed. "You know why you're in here?" HyunJin looked down at his pillow and nodded slowly.
"I am still mad at you." he growled. "How could you do something so wrong and pretend to be one of my best friends? I trusted you with my whole life!" Mira winced at HyunJin's tone. He had started to yell. "To think that I even thought of you as a Hyung, that I would even die for you, it gets me sick. I want to-"
"HyunJin!" Changbin rushed to him and grabbed him by his shirt. "Know your place dongsaeng. Listen to Chan when he speaks, do you understand?" HyunJin ripped Changbin's hands off his shirt and scowled at him.
"I'm sorry Hyung." He mumbled an apology to Chan. Chan took in a deep breath and then brushed his hair back. He looked directly at Mira when he said.
"I didn't kill your mother, none of us did. She was killed by another gang's member, and died in my arms. I tried to save her, we," he motioned around the room. "Tried to save her. But it was too late. She died, but not until she told us that she loved you, Mira. You were her whole life. Your mother helped start District 9 and came to see the process when it happened."
