Barney and Percy Jackson crossover

Nico's little adventure

"Will, it's not like I'm going to die or something," Nico exclaimed exasperatedly.

"But, you can just walk to the mess hall, it would be much less work!" Will tried to reason.

"I'm too lazy!" Nico claimed, stretching the last word much past how far it needed to be said, "I'll just get Percy and come back, ok?"

Will huffed, knowing Nico was too stubborn to give in, making an argument pointless.

And with that Nico smirked victoriously and the shadows around him seemed to grow darker before they swallowed him.

Ugh, Nico thought, maybe Will was right and I should have just walked.

Then he struggled to get up due to his pounding headache and looked around.

This isn't Camp Half-Blood, was what Nico thought when he got a good view of his surroundings.

He was in the middle of a street, just your average neighborhood when suddenly he heard giggles of small children.

He headed that way because maybe he could ask the child where he was.

Then he heard singing, "I love you, you love me were a happy familyyy!"

Nico could vaguely remember hearing a song like that, but he didn't pay much mind to it. Probably just reciting a popular nursery song or something.

Curious Nico turned into a park along the side of the road and walked into it by the side walk.

There at the gazebo stood a large purple dinosaur, a few other dinosaurs which made it look like a flippin' rainbow pucked them up, and four small kids.

Nico stopped, highly disturbed, and the purple blob spotted him.

"Hi! I'm Barney! I haven't seen you around here! Wait! I have a song to welcome you!" the thing, called Barney exclaimed.

All the children cheered and the rainbow barf trio started clapping.

By now Nico was too disturbed to move so he stood there confused.

That was a mistake, he should have run as soon as possible.

Barney broke into a song.

"Hi! I'm Barney!

And these are my friends!

I see you are not from around these bends!

So Wel-"

Nico ran.

That was the simplest way to put it.

Nico Di Angelo, the ghost king, ran from three kids, a rainbow barf trio, and a purple blob.

It was only when he couldn't hear the calls of, "Hey! Wait! What about my songs!" when Nico slowed to a walk and leaned panting against a tree.

I should try to shadow travel out of here, Nico thought, this is just disturbing.

So Nico tried and felt the familiar tug in his gut and felt himself melt into the shadows.

Will looked up when he saw the shadows darken around a certain spot, Will sighed in relief when Nico emerged unharmed but a little disgruntled.

"Nico!" Will called, scooping him into a hug, "I thought something bad might have happened to you! Are you ok? Do you need medical help?" 

Nico shook his head, "I might be mentally disturbed for life though," he muttered as if in a trance.

"Why? What happened?"

The raven-haired son of Hades just shook his head again, "You don't want to know."
