Before we get started with this tape... with this person, I'd just like to say, that this isn't a reason... a reason why- well, you know.

This tape is merely for the purpose of knowing.

Knowing how important you were to me.

Knowing that what happened between us wasn't your fault... it was mine.

This tape is for you, Chloe.

"Chloe!" Kat called for the confused looking girl who stood in the middle of the Monet's Cafe.

Chloe turned to her best friend with a sigh of relief, smiling as she headed towards the back of the cafe. She hadn't even taken notice of the girl who sat across from Kat.

"Hey, Kat," Chloe greeted before her eyes found Hannah's. "Oh, hi!"

Hannah kindly smiled as Kat pulled a seat from another table for Chloe.

"Clover, this is the girl I was talking about. Total cutie, really pretty and funny from time to time," Kat grins.

"Wow, I don't know if I'll be able to live up to that hype," Hannah shook her head, to which Kat giggled at and Chloe smiled at.

"See, told you she was funny," Kat slapped Chloe's arm.

Chloe, I knew you longer than you knew me. I'd seen you in the halls and we even shared a class. You radiated the air with light and happiness just like Kat had. I wanted to be your friend the second I saw you. It was crazy to think you were the person Kat talked about endlessly, but I wasn't surprised.

We weren't as close at first, but it's never been awkward between us. The longer I knew you, the more I liked you. I never understood why you didn't have more friends, you're the best one any could have.

"He constantly bosses me around like he's my father or something," Chloe paced Hannah's room with agitation, running her hair frantically through her hair. "I swear he treats me like he's my father more than my own father. And I'm not exaggerating! You've seen it, right? You've seen it?" She stops and gives Hannah a look, only to see that Hannah was paying more attention to the textbooks and loose-leaf papers spread before her. Chloe groans. "Were you even listening?"

Hannah glances up at the green-eyed girl with a sigh before looking back down at her school work. "Yeah, yeah. Clay this Clay that. He's been pissing you off. What's this, the third time this week?"

"That's what I'm saying!" Chloe plops herself onto the bed. "It's like he does it on purpose. Once a week is enough. Choose a schedule and stick to it!"
