“I want that girl.”  I say after I slam  shot of vodka.  Craig searches the room to find the girl my eyes are glued to.

“Why that girl?”  Craig questions as he sips from his beer.

“She hasn’t looked over here once.  Not one single time.”  I tell Craig.  He sort of laughs.

“Then go find another girl.  Almost every girl in this place wants to hook up with you.  Why go for the one girl who doesn’t give a shit?”  Craig asks me.  But I think that’s why I like this girl. I just got gold at the X Games and that’s made me quite popular with the ladies, but it’s all superficial.

“I don’t care.  I want that girl.”  I tell Craig.    He pats my back and laughs.

“Then go get her, buddy.”  Craig says. I take one more shot for good measure, and then walk over to the stunning girl and all her friends.

“Hey.  I’m Torstein.”  I say confidently to the girl.  Her friends giggle as she looks up at me.

“Hi.” She says politely before turning her attention back to her friends.

“Can I join you ladies?”  I say as smoothly as possible.  Her friends nod excitedly while I think she rolls her eyes.  I don’t mind though.  I sit down right next to her, but she continues ignoring me.  I look back at Craig who is cracking up at my complete lack of game.

“What’s your name?”  I say into the girl’s ear in an attempt to make conversation with her.  She just smiles at me and then goes back to ignoring me.

After a while I’m about to bail the situation.  It’s looking like a lost cause.

“I need some fresh air.  You coming, Torstein?”  The girl says suddenly as she stands up from her seat.  She starts walking away before I have a chance to answer.  I look at her with wide eyes and follow her out the back door of the club.  She throws her arms around my neck and kisses me.  I kiss her back and hold tightly onto her.  I can’t believe she’s kissing me and I hope she never stops.

“You like me, don’t you?” The girl asks me as she removes her arms from me and takes a few steps back.  I fight the urge to pull her back into a kiss.

“Yeah I do.”  I tell her.  She smirks at me.

“But you don’t even know me.”  She says.  I take a step towards her.

“I want to know you.”  I say simply.  She rolls her eyes at my cheesy line, but I mean what I’m saying.  “Do you want to get to know me?”

“Oh, but I do know you.  You’re Torstein Horgmo.  Snowboarding superstar and play boy.  I know all about you.”  She says with the smirk still on her face.

“Well that’s not fair.  You know everything about me and I don’t even know your name.”  I reply.  She doesn’t say another word.  The girl just starts kissing me again.  As much as I want to know her name, I want to kiss her even more, so I don’t stop her.

I wake up the next morning in my bed.  Everything is a blur except for one thing…the girl.  That perfect, mysterious girl.  My head throbs from the hangover, but I can’t help but smile at the thought of this girl.

“You’re awake.”  The girl says as she walks out of the bathroom and into the room. She’s wearing one of my shirts, but slips off as soon as she sees me.  She begins putting on her dress from the night before.

“You’re still here.”  I think out loud. I'm in shock.  I rub my eyes to make sure this is really real.

“Well actually I’m leaving.”  She says as she throws her hair up into a ponytail.  I think of what I can say to make her stay.

“Will you at least tell me your name before you leave?”  I basically beg.  I’m desperate here.  I'd do anything to see her again.

“What’s the point, Torstein?” She asks me she makes her way to my bedroom door.  “This was a one time thing, right?”

“I’d kill to see you again.”  I admit to her.  She rolls her eyes just like she did last night.

“Bye, Torstein.” She says.

“I’m serious.  I like you.  There’s something about you.  I’m probably not explaining it right, but this is more than a one-night stand.  Let me prove that to you.”  I gush to the girl. I never have to try this hard, but somehow I know she’s worth it.  She doesn’t say a word and my stomach drops.  I’m never going to see her again.

“I’m y/n.”  She says with a smile as she walks out the door.
