Jack POV

The next day I ran to the library and went to the language section and flipped through all of the books and finally found the ones I was looking for. I had study for weeks in on end. It was really difficult but I had gotten the basis of it. I had a reality check when I noticed that it was Zach was always by himself and no one tired to talk to him and called him a freak. We had a free day in class and I was going to do something, I would be nice to Zach. I'm going to talk to Zach!

I walked up to the kid and I took a deep breath and signaled. " Hi Zach! my name is Jack! How are you? "

His eyes lit up as he started to cry. I thought that I had signaled wrong and called him something nasty. I felt all the eyes on me, students were recording us and the teacher gave me a look. He stood up and sobbed into my chest and muttered 'thank you!

He spoke back in sign, "My name is Zach and I am doing great now that I finally have someone to talk to!" He laughed at the joke I told him and he wanted to talk after school in the window. I was going to make a little bridge between the two so that we could sit and look at the stars. I couldn't wait to get home.

Zach POV

I felt that today was the best day of my life! He talked to me and I didn't have to sound silly at all! I was going to hangout with him and I think I found a new friend!

"Hey Jack! You are my new friend!"

" Hey Zach I am not too good at this slow down! "

"Sorry too excited!"

I smiled at Jack and he smiled back. I felt my cheeks go pink when he smiled. I liked his smile it's so nice! And his hair looks soft and his lips......

"Zach? Are you okay? " Jack signaled full of worry.

Right he probably also thinks there is some something wrong. But I don't think there is something wrong with me right?

" No! Nothing is wrong bye! "

And I closed the curtains and fell back against the wall.

Lips...His lips I like them! Is that wrong?
