Jack POV

I came across a crying Zach in a fetal position. I picked him up and held him in my arms. 

 "Zach it's alright there is nothing that you need to be afraid of okay?" 

 " I'm not crying cause I am afraid, I'm crying cause people are mean. "

 "Who was mean to you this time Babe?" I kissed his forehead and rubbed his cheek.

 I felt so bad. He was always used to the world being nice to him cause he was different and now that he is normal..  Well reality had found a new target to shoot at.

"I will talk to whoever is behind all of this okay Zach. I will get to the bottom of this."

months later......

I hadn't found out who hurt Zach awhile back. I was waking past the middle school when I heard Ryan complaining and calling a kid a fag. I climbed over the fence not giving a fuck if the teacher tells me to get off of the school grounds.

"What the hell do you think you are talking about Ryan??? What is wrong with gay people??? Are you afraid they will turn you gay??" I got up on him.

" it's not fair that I have a gay brother! It's kinda annoying. "

I was heated! This kid is ridiculing his own brother that he should be supporting right now as he goes through one of the hardest things in his life. I heard a slap come from behind me. It was Ava.

"Ava! Why did you do that???"

" Cause you disgust me! how dare you not support your brother??! You don't haven't I like all gays, but at least support your brother!  For once he is happy in life! Who cares if it's a boy or a girl?! At least someone loves him. "  Ava shut up Ryan with a single speech.

I hugged her and said thank you as I went to go find Zach. I found him sitting between our houses on the bridge. I hugged and told him that it was gonna be okay and it doesn't matter what his family thought.

"It does Jack! I can't lie to my mom like that!!"

"Don't you have a cover up?"

I saw as he thought about it for a bit. He said something like Kay.

"Kay as in Kay Cook? the cheerleader the most popular girl in the school?!!! Good luck convincing her to say yes."

" Jack why don't I just sing to her? "

I thought about it and it was worth a shot.

You know what Zachary Dean Herron.....You got a really smart brain in that pretty brown fluff you got there.
