That voice was coming from a small stature that stood in front of me, her eyes reflected the sun as the brease rushed against her smooth skin. Her lips were full and rosed, almost as if they wanted me to approach her and kiss her. As she touch my body I shivered I didn't want to move away from the warmt of her hands, but the movement took me by surprise.
My body was hurting and I could feel the burnt marks on my leg, somehow the gleam in her eyes made it all worth it. She helped me get up and, as I took a closer look at her, I screamed. Not because I was in pain but because I was being held by a talking squirrel. She asked me if I could walk and my limping was enough of an answer for her. She wrapped my arm around her neck and started talking as we moved deeper into the woods. Her name was Clarisse Ford, she was a scientist from New Jersey, and I don't know how I didn't recognise the story at that moment.
Clarisse had once been the creator of one of the virus I had fought so hard to kill, she had been responsible for the killing of every human being on the planet, except me I thought. She took me to a small wooden cabin hidden in the depts of the forest, on our way there she told me about her wants and beliefs. In side of me a fire was burning but I just sighed, nodded and smile peacefully.
She calmly introduced me to her companions, the group was composed of a bat, Jack, an owl, Jeremy, a lizard, Astrid, a mole, Ava, a spider, Oisin and a jaguar, Madison. They had all created viruses to kill the human race. I realized what was happening right before my eyes, the people I was dealing with today were the people I had fought against my whole life...
They bragged about what they had done inclding me in the conversation, believing that I was, like them, a killer of some sorts. I couldn't even make sense of what they were saying, thinking only of how I could get my (and the world's) revenge. These malicious being that were standing in this forest right before my eyes were the motive for everyone I had once loved to be dead.
I suddently remeberd my youth, the calm summers I spent with my neighbour, riding our bikes, runing and playing in the sand, not a worry in our hearts and minds.
