Chapter 1

Alexander's P.O.V

I woke up this morning with a thought that I would go to the park today for a jog. Staying at home all the time is so boring, even if you have TV and had access to every movie there is or a WiFi and be on the social media, it's still boring.

I took a shower and change into my sweat shirt and jogging pants. I went downstairs and head to the kitchen where my sister Stacy is cooking waffles with bacon bits, yum.

"Good morning" I greeted and went to get a protein drink that I can take with me.

"Good morning. Going for a jog?" Stacy ask when she saw my attire. I nodded and left. Once I'm outside, I stretch my legs and arms to warm up before I start running. The park is just 30 minutes from here so no worries.

I arrive at the park thirty minutes later and I can see few people who also came here to exercise. I jog around the park five times and decided to stop for a short break and drink some of the protein. I can see in my peripheral vision that someone, who's still a little farther is going to pass by, so I straighten up and ready to greet whoever it is when a strong wind blows and I took a sniff a mix smell of vanilla and bacon. I turn my head to my left and saw a man staring at me, the smell is coming from him.

"Mate" The both of us say in unison. My eyes went wide and so is his, he started walking towards me and I panic so I ran off at lightning speed. I just want to get away from him as fast as possible to calm down and clear my thoughts. Oh my goodness! My mate! I found my mate and I run off! What the hell Alexander.

After what I did, I couldn't just go back there anymore so I went home.

Upon arriving home, I hurriedly went to my room and sit in the corner. Why did I run off!? Where was the confidence I'm so proud of went? Geez! I must have hurt him, he must be thinking that I don't want him.

Wait.

HE! My mate is a guy! Oh goodness me! What am I going to do!?

After I ask all the questions I could ask myself, I stood up and went to the bathroom to take a long hot bath. Yeah, that would be nice. So, I went inside and turn on the tap to fill the tub with hot water, after the tub is filled, I drop some essential bath oils and soak my body.

"Ahh. So relaxing" I muttered to myself. I close my eyes and my mind drifted to my mate. Aside from him being a guy, he really is so handsome and his eyes are so dark red. A vampire, he must be a vampire, a pure one. Pure vampire are the only ones with dark red eyes. Nice, we have one thing in common now.

One hour of soaking, I decided to finish up, because my fingers are getting all wrinkly now. I pull the cover of the drainage and waited for the tub to be empty before I turn the shower on. After washing my body, I step out of the tub and dry myself before getting out to change into my home clothes. I went back downstairs to eat some waffles and watch some TV until night time came. We ate dinner and soon after went to bed, thinking about my mate.

Fast Forward

One week, it's been one week since I found my mate and ever since then, I didn't see him anymore, well I really didn't go back to the park. I'm currently in the living room watching Friends with my sister.

"So last year of College huh?" I ask suddenly.

"Yeah" She answered shortly. 

"Seriously, are you excited, nervous, happy, sad, anxious or whatever other feelings exist?" I ask again and sit straight, looking at her with serious eyes. She just replied with some no new classmate stuff, she's so boring I swear.

I sigh. "No, I'm not talking about meeting new people, I'm talking about this year will be your last year, I mean aren't you excited to finally finish? Like finally you're gonna be out of that place and will be free! or does that make you sad?" I elaborated. She went silent for like thirty seconds before she screamed.
