Phoenix

Beginning of her Ending

Phoenix stayed the night at the small book  store. The girl from the vision who she now knows as Dragon, or thats what she prefers to be called.

Dragon has been through alot. Her boyfriend died a few months back from cancer, she was in the foster system, and she was abused and had a horrible life. Dragon got that name when she realized that she's just living because she feels that fate should be the one to take her.

"What do you want from life?" Phoenix asked her, for it had been a long while and she found nothing to fix but the sadness in Dragons eyes.

"I want to be free, grown wings and gooff to distant places and still be able to come back in time for dinner." Dragon says as she put her arms up and pretend she.was flying. Phoenix watched as Dragon leaped on the couch and ran to the edge then hopped off and landed on the counter and slipped.

Phoenix ran just in time to break her fall. The girls lay on the floor laughing and joking. It was all fun.

Later the girls spoke of the past.

"I used to feel free, like i could fly far beyond the tree tops and into the clouds, " Phoenix said missing her wings.

"I never felt like that, always chained down to the floor, with a series of unfortunate events happening to me.".Dragon said sipping tea.

"You must learn to rise. To come back from the ashes and prove to yourself that your free, bad things happen but worse could and you have what most only dream of."

"How do i rise? I rise i fall, so why try if im gonna be here.in the end?"

"You never know. .." Phoenix remained silent for a moment."for all you know you could grown wings and fly before you reach the ground."

"You know i think you are angel sent down to save me." Dragon said as she smiled saddly,"that god wants to make things better but still makes life sad."

"No , im not an angel ....butbi do believe i was sent to help you. I had a dream whete he told me you need to learn to believe and havr faith then your world will be brighter. "

"Okay then....how do i fly?"

After Phoenix had a moment of thought she smiled and pulled Dragin by the hand to follow.

The water was clear. The lake was empty. The bridge was a light brown that made b it look like chocolate.  The sun was moments from setting and the air was cool.

"Okay , explain to me why we are so high up...your not gonna do something bad are you Phoenix? "Dragon asked holding the railing like it was rope.

Phoenix did say a word she hoped onto the railing, swung her legs over and sat with her feet in the wind.

"What are you doing?!" Dragin asked trying to pull Phoenix from the other side.

"Calm down. If you have faith, it will be fine. Just breath." She said slowly.

Dragon made her way next to Phoenix making the whole side wobble with her nervous anxiety.

"Wha-what n-now?" Dragon asked staring at the water that flows beneath their feet.

"Close your eyes. "

Dragon took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"Just listen to the water and the wind....you'll feel nature take over you and you must let it so you can feel the sensation of flying"

Dragon peeked one eye open and gave Phoenix a strange look but said 'okay'.

In the moments that followed consisted of light breaths and small calm smiles, till Phoenix felt them . Her wings came back as if they never left,she folded them inside and spoke softly to Dragon for her mission was almost complete.

"Now, do you have faith?" She asked.

Dragon nodded in response.  Then she jumped.

Phoenix starteled by what she did jumped up about to dive after her, till she noticed the change. As Dragon and the water closed into each other , Dragon flew.

Wings sprouted and before she hit full force into the water she pulled up and went high into the sky. Phoenix stood on the rails in amazement and went after her.

The sun shined as they dipped in and ut of cloud layers. As they flew into the heavens.

Dragon had been saved, she rose from the ash of her past and grew wings to fly into tomorrow and live with more determination than anyone . God had transformed Dragon into a phoenix. While he transformed Phoenix into a careing creature.

Moral of the story~

God has a way of saving us who have nothing left but faith and hope.
