Kiri's POV

Zuko, Father and I are on deck. It's nice outside as Zuko looks through his spyglass. Miko runs across mine and father's shoulders. "There's a storm approaching" Father states.

"A big one" I add as Miko jumps onto my head.

"You're out of your mind Kiri, Uncle" Zuko states as he approaches us lowering the spyglass. "The weather's perfect. There's not a cloud in sight" he tells us. As we look at the clear sky and calm sea.

"A storm is approaching from the north" father tells him as we face him. "I suggest we alter our course and head southwest" he suggests.

"We know the Avatar is traveling northward, so we will do the same" Zuko tells us.

"Consider the safety of the crew" I tell him.

"The safety of the crew doesn't matter!" he shouts. I step back and father places a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"Do not speak to her in that tone" he tells Zuko firmly. "She's right, we need to consider the safety of everyone on board" he states.

"Finding the Avatar is far more important than any individual's safety" Zuko states. I run away from the deck past Lieutenant Jee. I go to more room and lay on my bed trying not to cry. How did my big cousin become so mean? I miss the kind hearted boy he was before we left the fire nation. It's all uncle Ozai's fault I think as a tear slips from my right eye.

Miko licks it away and I smile gently giving her a pat. My door opens and I sigh. "I wish to be alone father" I state not facing it.

"I'm not uncle" Zuko states as the door closes.

"What do you want?" I grumble.

"To apologize" he states as he sits beside me rubbing my back. "I'm sorry for upsetting you little cousin. Know that when I said that, I didn't mean you. I'll always put your safety before capturing the avatar. If you were in danger and I had a chance to capture him. I'd save you cousin" he tells me.

I hug him and he hugs me back. "I just miss the old you, before this voyage" I state.

"Once we have the avatar, things will return to normal"  Zuko assures me. I give him a smile. We meditate together before returning to the deck. Where Iroh and Lieutenant Jee are looking at the approaching dark clouds.

"Looks like you cousin and uncle were right" Lieutenant Jee tells Zuko.

"Lucky guess" I say shrugging.

"Lieutenant! You'd better learn some respect or I will teach it to you" Zuko tells him firmly.

"What do you know about respect?  The way you talk to everyone around here, from your hard-working crew to your esteemed uncle, shows you know nothing about respect! You don't care about anyone but yourself! Then again, what should I expect from a spoiled prince?" he states. Zuko turns around and extends his right arm as if preparing to fire bend. Lieutenant Jee does the same as smoke appears on Zuko's hand.

"Easy now!" I yell as father pulls them apart.

"Enough! We're all a bit tired from being at sea so long. I'm sure after a bowl of noodles, everyone will feel much better" father states. Lieutenant Jee walks away from us.

"I don't need your help keeping order on my ship, uncle" Zuko tells him. Before he to walks away.

"I think it's time the crew understood Zuko's obsession with the avatar" I state.

"I believe you're right, are you hungry?" he asks me. I smile nodding my head. We find Lieutenant Jee talking to some of his men as they ate.

"I'm sick of taking his orders! I'm tired of chasing his Avatar! I mean, who does Zuko think he is?" Lieutenant Jee demands.
