Chapter One

"Come on Harley you need to get out of bed" Mia said trying to pull me off the bed he and I shared but, I wasn't having it .

I just shook my head stuffing my face inside the pillows crying . I've been like this for five years now . Still no word from Dom nor Letty or even Zeus . I'm stuck in this stupid cycle of home and work. Hiding away from Mia. I don't want her to see me like this all the time. However, that woman is too damn stubborn. Plus she cares, so there's no stopping her. Especially when her heart and mind are set on something. Like taking care of family.

Everything has fallen apart, although Mia tells me Brian still tries to talk to her . Even though he can't take a hint . Stupid big brother, never could figure out something so easy as a woman telling him to go fuck himself even if it was to his face.

Being my age at just 25 isn't too bad , I've tried to forget Dom and just make friends at least. It's gotten me out more. Also has gotten me unwanted attention, which in turn causes Mia to be all overprotective. Just like Brian or even Dom.

Though can you blame me, he's probably being a man whore somewhere. More than likely in the Dominican Republican aka the DR. The one place he said he could probably be for the rest of his life. Our lives, where we'd start a family. Now I'm not so sure.

On certain days I'd go out and fix the car and in other days I'd clean and stay inside the house . In less I had to work at this cute little bakery with a nice elderly woman as my boss named Everly. Which is amazing, I love it so much. I get to brush up on my baking skills and I also got to learn some new techniques.

Besides that I basically became a depressed older version of a teen . Well that's what Mia says and scolds me for.

Mia is my rock and has been for the past five years. I'm surprised she isn't sick of me yet. Whoever she is yelling at downstairs on the phone. I wouldn't want to be them.

" Harley I'm leaving I'll be back in a few." She yelled up the stairs then I hear the front door slam behind her .

Poor door what did it do to her , besides keep us locked in the house safe . Away from all of our troubles.

I huff turning on my favorite tv show Supernatural and begin my binge watching .

Mias pov

" Look Brian I can't sneak around with you anymore we have to tell Harley " I said running my hand through my hair sitting up .

" We can't she'll be so upset and from what you told me it doesn't sound good " He said panicked . Worried about what his sister would think. Hell he knew, he knew she would blame him for everything under the sun. An quite frankly he wouldn't blame her if she did.

" It's either that or we are done. I want no more secrets or lies. We've clearly had enough of that. Look where it's gotten us." I said angrily huffing. Not that I could be really all that mad at him anymore than I already was at one point.

I've already forgiven him for a lot of things. Which was probably one of the hardest decisions I made in my life. I couldn't deny myself of someone I clearly am in love with. No matter how much of a jackass he can be. Which is alright he's my jackass.

" Oh come on please just a little while longer and we both will talk about it with her together."he pleaded rubbing my back .

" Fine but, soon " I said sighing pecking his lips .

Ring ring ring

" Hello ?" I questioned wanting to know who was calling .

" Hello is this Mia ?" Asked the person .

" Yes why?" I asked fiddling with Brian's hands .

" I'm so so sorry to tell you but, Letty Ortiz passed away in an accident " said the woman in which I burst into tears .

Hearing Brian hang up and rock me back and forth trying to calm me down .

" What am I supposed to tell Harley now " I cried out feeling the tears poor out of my eyes .

" Shhh it going to be okay everything is going to be okay " he said kissing my forehead calming me down a bit .

" Let's go for a drive" he said getting dressed into a pair of pants and shirt .

" Let's go " I said standing up walking out of the room to the car waiting for Brian .
