Chapter 5

After hours of taking the car apart piece by piece. We still couldn't find what the hell made this car so important.

"Brian" Mia says to get his attention which it does as he looks up at her.

"Yeah?" Brian questions with a slight smile.

"There's something I have to tell you" She says looking down at him from where she was comfortably sitting. It was eating the young woman alive, that she hasn't been able to tell Brian about her being pregnant.

While I myself didn't mean to over hear the conversation. Well I couldn't help it since I was on the other side of what once was a car. Still loosing some bolts. Dom was at the bench grabbing some different tools to use. Not that it's really the right time or place but, I couldn't help but stare at his back. Even fully clothed he's sexy as hell. An all mine too.

Hearing the door open and shut, got all of ours attention.

"Goddamn!" We hear an all to familiar voice say...Vince. Oh great.

"What a mess" he continues looking around the little make shift garage we set up.

"Where have you been, man?" Brian asks looking to Vince.

"You better check that tone" Vince says as Brian starts to stand up and myself right beside him.

" No you better check that tone Vince. He asked a simple question" I said standing between him and Brian.

"And you just better answer the goddamn question, Vince" Brian throws back at him in full defense mode.

"Stop it, the three of you just stop" Mia says pushing Brian and I back. My gaze never wavering from Vince's. It wouldn't be the first time I kicked his ass well I should say Brian and I.

"Where were you,Vince ?" Dom asks this time facing said man. Deathly calm too calm.

"Guys all over are asking about you, I couldn't get out of there without leading them straight to you. I had to wait it out." Vince said trying to stay on Dom's good side.

"That's such bullshit" Brian and I say at the same time. While Brian wore a smug smirk, I roll my eyes at the blatant lie.

"That was your job, your men!" I yell at Vince with a harsh glare. I sure as hell though didn't expect him to come running at me and the fact my brother gently shoves me out of the way or as gently as he could. He took the hit. Well what was supposed to be a hit, Dom stops Vince with an iron like grip and shoves him back.

"Enough O'Connor, the both of you. If he said he didn't do it, he didn't do it. Go walk it off, the both of you" Dom said point his finger at Brian and then looking at me. Brian who still hasn't taken his eyes off Vince.

I walk up to Brian putting my hand on his shoulder. Trying to ease him the best that I could. Motioning for him to follow me.

Time Skip... only by a few hours later..

While everyone else was asleep in their respective rooms. Well make shift rooms. Vince makes his way to the car that was taken apart.

Taking the chip out from the dvd player, he didn't think anyone else was awake. Big mistake.

"I almost wish I didn't see that" Dom starts  leaning against a wall that was near him. Eyes on Vince. Making his way towards the man who looks very fearful of his childhood best friend.

"Almost" Dom finishes as he stops in front of Vince who holds his hands up in surrender.

"Wait, Dom" Vince says almost pleading with the raging like bull of a man.

"Mia and Harley were on that train, My sister and My wife! " Dom shouts shoving Vince into a pillar.

"I didn't know! I wouldn't do anything to hurt them. I .." Vince starts to say before Dom interrupts him.

"You set up the deal!" Dom says shoving Vince again.

"I thought the job was for the cars. I didn't know! All they want is the chip" Vince said trying to get into Dom's better nature again. Only for poor Vince he was far from that.

"Damn!" Dom yells hitting the pillar on either side of Vince's head.

"You should've come clean" Dom adds getting into Vince's face.

"What the hell is going on out here?" Mia asks irritated that she got woken up by all the shouting.

"Dom?" I yawn stretching slightly, making my own way out of a different bedroom that was adjacent to Brian and Mia's. Only wearing Dom's shirt and a pair of shorts that I know couldn't be seen.

"Nothing" Dom says answering Mia's question. Making his way over to where Mia,Brian and I all stood now.

"Please, Dom, let me have the chip. I can take this to them. They'll give it to Reyes and set things right" Vince pleads with said man. Making me roll my eyes I am not in the mood for this.

"Get out, Get out Vince "I said starring down the man before me. How dare he.. how could he drag us into this mess. I should have known anything when it comes to Vince isn't easy.

"What?" Vince says in disbelief shaking his head he looks to Dom seeing if he'd help him.

"Didn't you hear my wife, GET OUT!" Dom shouts glaring at Vince. Who starts to turn towards the exit. He makes eye contact with Mia, and I first before his eyes trail to Brian behind us. Who was more than ready to lay a punch on him if need be.

"You never listen to me. Not when I told you he was a cop. Not when I told you, your precious little wife was his sister. Not now..."(making Dom look over at the three) as Vince continues to speak" you never trust me, and look where it's gotten us. Look at our family now. I can't go home! Your sister's stuck in this life, your wife is stuck in this life Dom. Where's Letty Dom? Where's Letty?" Vince asks clearly getting to Dom in so many ways.

Which clearly showed when Dom takes quick action shoving Vince on the hood of the car. He punches the GT's hood with everything he has. An inch from Vince's face. Violently shaking as the metal succumbs to the force of his punch. Had it landed , it would've killed Vince.

" Enough!" I shout grabbing Dom back with tears in my eyes. I continue to shout at Vince  "That's not fair and you know it Vince, the same could be said about you jackass." I give him another hard look getting him towards the door. Opening it and pushing him out with the help of Brian of course.

"And another thing, don't let the door hit you on the way out fuck face!" I slam the door in his face. Turning to the others . Brian with one of the proudest looks I've seen him have.  Mia wore a sheepish smile and Dom well Dom still hasn't lost the solemn look on his face.

" let's go to bed, we have a lot to do in the morning" Mia says to break the tension.

While her and Brian go back in their room. I walk over to Dom who still hasn't moved from his spot. I know whatever I say will probably go in one ear and out the other. This man takes being stubborn to a whole new level. He still blames himself for what happened to Letty. If that wasn't obvious enough, and regards to Mia and I being part of this wanted criminal life and running all the time. Is getting to him more.

I simply grab his hand, him letting me lead us to our bedroom.
