I Love You Daddy (Undergoing Editing)

Chapter 9

*Emily's POV*
Don't get me wrong Addi is a great daughter, but like every other child she has those days that are full of temper tantrums and such. And now we have a baby that cries all night and is a lot more work. She reminds me a lot of when Addi was her age. Shockingly Addi helped a lot with Aqua, feeding her, playing with her, and even tries to help change her diapers. It's been about 2 weeks since we agreed to take care of Aqua while Coral stayed with her Grandma, and boy the time was flying by.
"Mommy! Mommy!" I'm snapped out of my thoughts by my daughter's voice.
"Yes, my angel?" I question sweetly.
"I think you burnt my Mickey Mouse pancake..." She says quietly because Aqua is sleeping.
"Oh shoot! Not again!" I whisper yell. I move the pan off of the oven quickly praying to God the smoke detector doesn't go off waking Aqua, who we had finally gotten to sleep again.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
Aqua cries almost instantly after the beeping starts. Then of course the phone starts ringing.
"Shoot!!!!!!!!" I shout. "Matthew! Could you please get Aqua calmed down? And Addi please answer the phone!" I then grab an oven mitt from the drawer closest to the oven and a chair. I slide the chair beneath the smoke detector, stand on the chair to get close enough to it, and begin waving the oven mitt. After about 45 seconds it finally stops beeping. I then rush over to Addi who is currently keeping whoever is on the other line company and thank her for doing so. Addi hands me the phone and I bring it to my ear.
~phone call~
"Hello? Sorry about the wait just I was caught in thought and then I started to burn Addi's Mickey Mouse pancake and then the smoke detector went off and then Aqua started crying and just I couldn't-" I start rambling.
"Emily." The voice cuts me off "It's Coral and I'm coming back."
~end of phone call~

A/N: Hey lovelies sorry I took so long for the chapter and that I didn't post it when I said I would. Also it's very low quality because it is currently 10:30 PM where I live so I am tired. I'm sorry it's short and really bad, I just had to give you guys SOMETHING because it's been forever. So I'll be sure to post agin as soon as I can, but until then you guys will just have to deal with this "cliffhanger". One of my very best friends @writer_gurl_365 is writing a really good book called Something in the Wind so it would really mean a lot if you went and checked that out!
