Counting is the art of saying each number in a regular interval, usually among natural numbers (integers from 1 upward). This can be in intervals of 1 (1,2,3,4,etc.), 2 (2,4,6,8,etc), or even 225 (225,450,675,900,etc.). Anything above 1 is generally referred to as skip counting, as it is skipping over some natural numbers.
