The Slime (Old Story)

Teigra's lament Chapter 1

I, Teigra Denzel, waited for The Royal Family to past judgement on me for what I did. Though, I hope they understand that it was the slime that caused me to change and try to kill the brave knight. I stood there in the great hall and looked at Princess Neci, who was wearing her Armani suit and black fedora hat, and she looked at me with a sly yet serious look on her face. "You.... do know why you're here, Ms Denzel.",she said and I looked up at her and said,"Yes, your Highness."then she showed me the slime in a container, then she said,"Is this the parasite of your home, Teigra?" and I saw it with sadness, knowing that I caused harm while under its curse. "Yes, Neci. If you're gonna execute me for my crime, then kill me.,"then she said,"Execute you? Teigra, what you have done was not of your control. What I'm hoping to know is where did this parasite come from, and how can I stop it from spreading.".

I..I... was shocked! How could she not show hate to me after murdering her mage? "But your highness, I--"then the king spoke,"Teigra, here in our kingdom, we are willing to give anyone a second chance if they're willing to accept our offer and kindness. Though, sometimes, we have to execute if they are a danger to the world. You obviously was under the influence of the slime as you call it, and was not in control of your actions. I'm just happy we cured you in time before it ate you from the inside. Sir Laban fulfilled his duty and he will be missed by everyone.". I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Not even my people gave second chances to the infected; even after they was cured. Neci spoke,"What I want to know right now is what are you? You look human yet you have a tail, and I just noticed you have tiger ears." then I said,"Well, your Majesty, I am from a tribe of were creatures; shape-shifters if you will. Much like you're boyfriend, your highness. However, unless we are threatened or angry, we are able to change at will. If you let me, Mr. Mose--"then Howlin said,"I'm not officially part of the royal family yet. That won't happen until we are married, and she bites my neck making me officially part of the family.", then I looked at them a lil confused and asked,"Is.... the king and queen vampires or werewolves?"then the king said,"No, Teirga. Right now, we are here about you. Can you tell us where your village is?".

I looked at her and before I spoke I thought about my people in my village. I wondered if they can trust me ever again. Suddenly, Lon and Sharon came to me and Lon asked,"Ms Denzel, can you please come with us? We want to perform some tests and make sure you're completely cured of the slime.". I was about to take his hand but then I thought of what my village doctors would do with the ones infected or "cured" of the slime and I quickly looked up at them with a displeased face and said"No. You're just gonna give me an lobotomy just like the doctors in my home did to all the infected." then Neci spoke,"Lon, what's a lobotomy? I've never heard that before."then King Kinny looked at her, confused and said,"You haven't? You never had crazy doctor cases?"then she replied,"No, Father. I never really got to do those cases. Yorrick mostly did that stuff.". Lon then explained what a lobotomy and the way it's done then Neci stood and spoke at me,"We would never do that, Teigra. I'd murder any scum would do that to anyone. Please, let us help you.", but as she spoke I.. started to hear voices telling me they are not to be trusted.

I looked around wondering where it was coming from and it was coming from the slime in the jar. I.. It was calling to me. No. No! It doesn't control it no more! Neci must have noticed me looking at the jar and then said as she went to the jar,"See, Teigra? This is why we must do some tests on you before we can help you and save your people from this virus. We now have a cure for it, and now we must give you a treatment of fruits; especially fruits with acids in them, like apples, blackberries, and so on. We know this slime is weak against acid food and that's why it doesn't touch foods like fruits, and we need to make sure there's non left in your body.".

I looked at her and the doctors as I curled up on the floor; feeling so scared and confused. Suddenly, I saw... MY SISTER! I was about to go to her, but then the king spoke,"Hey! Who are you? What business do you have here?"then she said,"I am Tala Teirga. I am her big sister.", then I looked at the king and said happily,"Yes, your highness! That's my sister! Wait. Why are you here? What's happened to the village?" then she looked sadly at me then said,"Teirga, I'm afraid the slime has taken over the village. Not even our best doctors could find a cure for the infected."then I looked at her in shock then asked,"E-even--"suddenly, Neci stepped in and spoke"Wait. Tala, we have a cure. Is there anyone left at your village?"but Sis replied with,"Fire is no use! We already tried that! And who are you and how did my sister get here? Wait. I thought she was banished to another world. A day before the outbreak happened.".

I then told her everything that happened to me then I said,"And we now have a cure for the slime.", but with a hand to her chin she said,"Hmm. But how can we be sure the slime is completely outta there system? I mean, even when we was able to successfully remove the slime from the brain, it somehow just grows back slowly feeding on all the food they ate."then Sharon said"That's what we was gonna test, but your sister refused to let us." I looked at sis sadly then I looked down and thinking of all my people and thought of all the pain they must be going through, but what if it doesn't work and I just get eaten from the inside, but Tala put her hand on my shoulder and said,"Teigra, if this cured you of the slime in your brain, then it can cure you through you bloodstream.",then I said,"But Tala--"then she said holding my shoulders"Think, Teigra! Our kind will be saved. We will be saved just like we was by the white eyes those many years ago.".

Suddenly, the one called Fo said,"Wait. White eyes?", then I said,"They are just legends in our village. A tall woman with white eyes fought off the slime and cured the people. Legend said that she would return if trouble would come. I guess she has deserted us. "then the one called Ko shouted"Never! Master's people would never do that!",then me and my sister looked at her a lil shocked then I said,"Y-your... Master is a white eyes?"then Fo said,"Yes. Our Master is these white eyes you speak of. He is the last of the whites or guardians as he called his tribe. Unless this white eyes you saw was another guardian.".

I thought about it and it could be possible, but I never knew they was a race of people; I only thought they was an angel or some higher being. "Where is you--"then Neci said"He's gone. My mage was the only who could get to him and he's died trying to save you from the slime."then I looked at sis sadly and felt ashamed. "I..I'm.. sorry, your highness."i said sadly but she said,"I know it wasn't your fault, Teigra, but will you drink the juice so she can truely cure you and help your people?"then after a lil bit of thinking and remembered what I'm fighting for I said,"Yes. I'm ready for treatment.".
