i have a pet snake,
i carry him around with me everywhere i go.
i don't want him anymore,
but he never leaves me.
he only causes me pain.
when he flares up,
he tightens around my rib cage,
and squeezes my lungs until they feel deflated with no air inside.
i can feel every single rib,
crack and fracture under pressure.
he's very heavy too.
it feels like a thousand lbs weighing me down,
my chest burns, my heart stings with every pulse, my skin throbs with pain like it's constantly being pinched.
i have a pet snake, his name is depression.
