Chapter 2 - Lore - About the Story - Pre Prequel

Once human and monsters lived in peace and harmony. But soon humans grew fearful of the monsters. Soon a war began in which millions of monsters died, and not a single human. They then sealed them away bellow Mount Ebbot. They lived there for a few hundred years, before a new human fell, the first human, Chara. This human was brought into the royal family and became the princess. Years later she died of sickness, and the prince, Asriel in trying to fulfill her dying wish took her soul and went through the barrier. He was attacked by humans and died. At this time there were two parties the pacifist party, and the pro-war party. After the death of the prince many monsters became furious, state media blamed the pacifists for them still be in the undergrounded, and the only way to get out sooner was to remove those who were keeping the pro-war party from freeing them. Many left the pro-peace party out of fear, and violence against the pacifists was on the rise. Eventually, the only members in the pro-peace party were Toriel the leader of the party, the froggits, the wimsums, and the vegitoids. On one night Asgore ordered that humans were to be killed on sight, and the pro-peace party was the enemy of monster kind, and he sent the royal guard to round up all the pacifists. He told Toriel this but told her she would be spared as long as she remained loyal. She responded in anger and stormed out to gather her party and to help them escape to safety in the ruins, which had been lost to all but herself. They ran as many a monster through rocks at them and followed them. They were able to get them off their tail, and made to the underground and sealed the exit behind them.
