"Are you serious?" My friend rolled her eyes
"You still believe in that stupid mith?" She chuckled as she turned her attention back to the road
"Bullshit you know you were scared of it two" he protested
She giggled
"Yea and then I actually lost my "flower" she said with air quotes and you don't see me getting swallowed by a demon
"It's difficult when your born in a Christian family" I said getting a little irritated that she keeps bringing this up
She put her hands up in surrender before quickly gripping the steering wheel again
"It sounds like your mom just fills your head with lies because she's bitter" I heard her mumble
Derrick groaned from the back seat before laying down and putting in his ear plugs
"Here we go again" he sighed
I dazed up out of the window looking at how beautiful North Carolina was I'd be moving back in with my mom affording her medical bills ever since my father left her she has just become lazy
