Jimin felt a tightness in his chest appear the minute the window broke open.

He squeaked and wrapped his hands into Namjoon's chest, eyes widening in shock as the window opened to show Jimin's father leaping in, along with a huge Griffon. The Defender ducked and booked it for Jimin, but Jimin screamed and swatted his hands away, squeezing his eyes shut.

"Go away! Go away—away!" Jimin yelped, leaping and rolling back out of the way, ducking underneath Namjoon who was standing protectively in front of Jimin. He swallowed thickly and looked around. "W-what's happening?"

"They want you back." Namjoon snarled, and Jimin frowned.

"What do you mean they want me back? Where was I in the first place? I swear I was just sleeping..."

"Master Park, you must get back and help finish building the tower!" The Griffon's eyes flashed and Jimin gulped, confused. "This isn't the time to be messing around with Kim Namjoon!"

Jimin frowned. "W-what? Messing around?" The mage clasped his hands to his chest. "Who even are you?"

"Jimin, stay back, don't let any of them get you again." Namjoon muttered, fixing his glasses.

"Get me again?" Jimin echoes, and he ducks when the Griffon dives for him. Jimin yelps and rolls over, and Namjoon swings his arm up, causing a sparkly golden shield to appear and cover Jimin's nimble body, but Namjoon catches a spark of Jimin's pretty, oceany-blue magic leave his fingertips, and it hits the Griffon square on his head.

Namjoon blinks in shock when he sees Jimin's expression is contorted into one of anger, and it quickly washes over with confusion. Namjoon shakes his head and lifts his hand and snaps his fingers together before swinging his arm out roughly towards where Jimin's father is about to snatch Jimin, breaking easily through Namjoon's shield. Tendrils of golden magic flow from his fingers and wrap tightly around Saeng, causing him to grunt and try to break free, but Namjoon's strings were strong, and Namjoon narrowed his eyes.

"Step away from him. Ten steps back." Namjoon orders, and the strings warm to grab at his waist and legs and makes him step back ten times, swinging uselessly like a puppet. "Hands at your sides." He lifts his other hand and more golden-magic strings come out to wrap around the Griffon, who's frozen on the floor, and Namjoon lifts his chin.

"Out the window, hover, let your master sit on top of you and go home." Namjoon waits until the strings do their work, and once they're out of view, Namjoon swishes his arm in front of him powerfully, causing the shards of broken glass and cement to meld itself back together.

"Jimin—"

Jimin shoots up onto his feet and dives into Namjoon's embrace, gasping. "J-Joonie that-that was so cool!"

Namjoon's cheeks flush darkly and he stands up straight when he gets a call from Lisa, picking it up and eyebrows furrowing when he hears that there's been an emergency situation at the office.

"L-let's get you to bed. I'll call Seokjin and Jungkook, I need to get to work."

"You said it was an emergency!"

Namjoon stands dumbfounded in front of his assistants who honestly looked done with everything that Namjoon's assigned for her. The witch has a glowing, magic ball in her hand that she's toying with and she snorts when Namjoon stares at her like an annoyed child who's mother took his games away.
