5: prom night

I'm in high school and I have been friends with Tom Holland ever since first grade. By sixth grade I realized that I have a crush on Tom, but I know he doesn't like me back. We are just friends that's it. Nothing more nothing less. Me and Tom always hung out, sometimes by ourselves or with haz. Prom was coming up and we were all seniors. I have a boyfriend and it was luke. We was nice and cute but he want Tom. Tom also had a girlfriend, and it was carol. I know he loves her and she loves him. The same goes for me and Luke. Prom was coming up and Luke still hadn't asked me. I was eating lunch with Tom and haz
Y) hey do you know who your going to prom with?
H) well I asked my girlfriend, Abby, and she said yes

Y) that's nice what about you Tom?
T) well I want to ask carol but I'm nervous
Y) Tom don't be nervous, if it helps you can practice on me. Pretend I'm carol
T) ok, hey Carol i was wondering if you wanted to go to the dance with me?
If you could ask me tom, I thought to myself
Y) that's good! Now you are going to need flowers when you ask her
Then carol came over to our table
C) hey Tom!
They kissed and I got a little jealous, then Luke came.
Y) hey Luke
L) hey can I talk to you alone?
Y) yeah sure
We walked away from the table and we sat on a bench. I had a sick feeling in my stomach, this was going to be bad.
L) look I like you a lot and
Of course the breakup speech.
L) I just think we should just be friends
I have heard this so many times, a lot of guys had broken up with me and honestly I'm used to it.
Y) yeah sure friends
L) I will see you later
And he left. I went back to the table and told tom and haz what happened
T) oh y/n I'm so sorry
Y) it's fine I'm used to it by now
I gave a little smile. After school I went shopping for a dress. I found a nice teal dress, I bought it and got ready for prom. My mom helped with my makeup and my hair. I asked tom for a ride and he said yes. By the time I was done with my hair tom knocked on the door. I grabbed my flowers and put it on my wrist. I opened the door and Tom was standing there in a fancy suit. He looked so handsome.
Y) hey Tom
T) hey y/n you look really pretty
Y) thanks so do you in a boy way

Tom wrapped my arm around his. I got in the front and just listened to songs.
Y) so where's carol?
T) oh I dumped her
Y) why?
T) because I realized that I like someone else
I was kind of nervous, is he talking about me or someone else? We got to the school and went to the dance. I went straight over to the food. I was stress eating like I always do. I just stayed there all night until a slow song came on. Oh no. Tom started walking over to me. I wanted to run but I just stood there. Thanks for betraying me body!
T) May I have this dance?
Y) I don't know how to dance
T) well let me teach you
He grabbed my hand and dragged me on the dance floor
T) just like this
I followed his movements. We looked into each other's eyes. It was like he was staring into my soul with his beautiful chocolate brown eyes. I didn't know what I was doing. I closed my eyes and leaned. And my body has betrayed me once again, but what I didn't expect was the lips that touched mine. This kiss felt amazing, and long awaited.
Y) I love you Tom
T) I know
We both laughed and kissed again. I still remember that night, it was so magical and still is.
