Sitting across from the prisoner, FBI Agent Dr. Lizzie Jones  stared into eyes describable only as ice-cold.

With her expression bordering on murderous, Lizzie leaned onto her elbows. "Why?" was all she said.  Being a Criminal Psychologist, it was her job to understand why the criminally insane made the choices that they did.  The gruff looking prisoner leaned as far forward as his restraints would allow before responding. "Because, they took something that was mine." he growled.

Smirking, Lizzie leaned back in her chair. She had gathered more information than the prisoner knew he had given her. With the smallest facial expression, he had given her access to his inner thoughts. He hadn't killed his victims because they had taken something from him, he had done it because his victims resembled his father, who had taken his early childhood freedom from him through mental abuse and criticism. "Well then, I think we are done here." She said with a raise of her hand signaling to the guard that she was done.

When she was almost to her SUV, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand at attention. Using her training, she used the reflections in the windows of the surrounding vehicles to try and take the element of surprise from whomever was following her.

Seeing a figure behind her, Lizzie's actions blurred in a speedy progression. Making a 180 degree turn with her fist outstretched she put all her force behind the punch. Yet whomever she had directed the punch towards easily ducked out of the way, grabbing her arm and twisting her into his body.

When she slammed into a muscular chest, Lizzie began to struggle with all the strength she had. "Dr.Jones.. DR.JONES!!" Lizzie heard shouted close to her ear as she began to register the details of the man holding her.  Black suit, a harsh bulge pressing into her back in the shape of a bureau issued handgun, and the flash of his badge in the reflection of the car window.

FBI

Lizzie allowed the man to hold her, relaxing in his grip, resulting in his letting her go. Once back on her own two feet, Lizzie looked up at the man that had held her fast.  The height difference between herself and the other agent was the first thing that she noticed. The agent in front of her stood at around six foot three inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes, set in a kind face.

"Who might you be? And why did you think sneaking up on me would be a good idea?"

"My name is Special Agent Seeley Booth, and I am told that you are the Criminal Psychologist that can help me and my team solve an unsolvable case."
