Paradise

Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

I was at home with Luci, my parents were out and my siblings were both at birthday parties. We had the house to ourselves until the next morning. We were waiting for the rest of the gang to arrive. It was half past 10 and we knew Sophie was going to be late. Where were they?

Luci and I had just settle down to a game of Pads and Pimples (a game our friends had made in yr 8 during a puberty unit) when i saw someone walk past the kitchen window. I mentioned it to Luci, we walked out onto the porch and saw no-one. After 2 mins of some intense Pads and Pimples, the kitchen door flew open and the Grace; Molly; Darcey and Nikki burst into song. I spilt my hot cocoa over the game and over Luci's brand new pair of jeans. Luci yelped and then screamed: "Guys just SHUT UP! Connie watch what you're doing!" I then said " I am sooooo sorry Luci! I will go get you some of mine, dump those in the laundry room, and come with me".

When i came back down stairs with Luci everyone one was at the table stuffing their faces with TimTams. I smiled then sat down beside Grace who told me she on her 4th TimTam and join them.

Once the TimTams were long gone, we decided to make a plan for the day. This is what it looked like:

        Todo:

·         make beds 

·         go shopping

·         Order Pizza + Pizza Roulette

·         Organise Big Trip (will explain later)

We decided to go shopping first. We came back with at least 4 bags each, and so tired out that we lay down in the living room and watched Taken for the 10th time. We had all gained our energy back after several packets of lollies. We went upstairs to my room and made the beds. Two could sleep on my queen bed. Three on the floor at the end of the bed. And the other two on either side of the bed. We ordered the pizza, as Molly and Luci had been bugging me to do every since we had made the list and were organising the Big Trip when the door bell rang. Molly and Luci lept up and ran to the Door shouting "PIZZA! PIZZA!" and swung the door open to find Sophie standing on the deck smiling. Molly frowned. "Hi Sophie." "Sorry we thought you were the pizza man." Luci and Molly said one after the other.  

They were all upstairs in a matter of 5 minutes. Molly and Darcey we at the computer ready to organise any accommodation, Luci, Nikki and Sophie were sitting around the table with the map, and Grace and I were by the calendar, ready with a red pen. 

Let me explain the Big Trip: The big trip is a trip we have been planning ever since we met. And we couldn't wait until we turned 17 so that we could go to all those tropical island, meet tons of cute guys and get an amazing tan.

Sophie started it. 

"Right. Well firstly we will go to Hawaii and we can stay at my grandads beach houses. Darcey google. Connie what are the most convenient times we can go. Molly flights?"

Darcey soon said: 

"Well there are two beach houses beside each other open, from the 1rst to the 19th. The Houses are really close to all the resteraunts and shops. The water is quite warm and calm, but rough enough to go boogie-boarding."

I said:

"The most convenient times to go are from the 3rd to the 10th or the 10th to the 17th. Because if we go on the 1rst chances are they won't have a lot of time to clean it. Where as if we go on the 3rd they will have cleaned it"

Molly:

"Well the flight date to Hawaii are (Hawaii time) : 2 pm on the 3rd, 11 am on the 5th, 6 pm on the 7th.   Oh! and 4pm on the 10th. The flights back to Auckland are (Auckland time):4 pm 10th, and 2 am the 17th."

Luci then said:

"So, Grace write this down.  2pm, 3rd of August- Hawaii, Sophie's Grandads Houses and 4 pm 10th August, Auckland, my house. Got that?"

Grace soon replied:

"Yup!"
