"What is happening to me?"

Throwing her head back in agony, Lunar groaned. For the past thirty minutes after waking up with a regurgitating urge, she'd been hunched over the white toilet in her bathroom.

It was 3 a.m, a time she'd much rather be tangled between her sheets rather than throwing up everything she'd eaten previously, but sadly; this had been her reality.

It felt like forever before Lunar eventually began to just heave, whilst nothing came out. It felt like nothing else was left to give in her, but the urge still remained.

She could feel her eyes getting heavy, when she heard light footsteps approach her door. Her mother gave a small knock, before she eventually opened the partition.

Lunar could see the worry in her eyes when she saw her daughter on the tile floor, a sweaty mess.

"Sweetie are you okay." A hand flew to her mother's mouth as she watched the scene before her. It were almost as if Lunar were dying; at least that's how she felt and looked.

"I'm okay, I think I'm coming down with the stomach bug."

Running a frail hand through her hair, Lunar sighed whilst looking at her mother who stood patiently in her doorway.

"Well then I'll take you to the doctors." Her mother spoke, and instead of being happy to hear she'd be receiving the care she knew she probably needed, Lunar was afraid.

The last thing she wanted to do, was go to the doctor. Doctors, ask for pee samples, which would eventually lead to the conjecture of the secret Lunar had been trying so desperately to keep, just that; a secret.

"No ma, I'm okay, I promise, I'll just drink a Gatorade and sleep it off."

Her mother wore a disheveled expression on her face, but she only sighed, before flashing Lunar a small smile.

"Okay sweetheart, if you need anything just give me a ring." She laughed lightly before backing out of the door and exiting the room completely, leaving Lunar all alone with only her thoughts.

She knew whatever was happening to her wasn't supposed to be happening, and she knew that the last thing she needed right now could've possibly been the reality of her situation.

Crawling to her bedroom, she grabbed her phone from her bed before texting Rosie.

Times like this she needed her best friend the most, especially since she could probably be dealing with something as life changing as a child.
